I have never had a bad experience with this place. My boyfriend introduced me to this restaurant when we first started dating and I'm so thankful that he did. When we were living in Hurst, it was a place we frequented for lunch on Sundays. Now, since we've moved, we make a point to make a special trip to go to satisfy my cravings lol. Keep visiting this small business! It is well worth it and you will not be disappointed!
We were a hungry party of 3 and dined in. We ordered and received our plates. We witnessed unsanitary food service practices, and with our good luck left hungry. ??I ordered crispy tacos; they looked crispy but were not and the server took them back to the kitchen. To be candid, they re-fried both crispy tacos, which I had already taken bites from and attempted to hand back to me. Only after my hesitance to touch the plate did the staff member realize what the kitchen had just done. Now, doesn't that just sound delicious? ?We walked out disgusted. We did not make any attempt for a refund. We just wanted to get out of there. Went home and ate cereal instead.
YIKES ? Unfortunately this is the worst food I’ve ever had! I’m a white girl and I can make better barbacoa than they can. Nothing had flavor. The tortillas were so wet from the meat, they literally broke in half. Quesadilla was super greasy, even the onion and cilantro ? had no flavor and they gave us lemons instead of limes (weird) The best part of the meal was the beans and don’t even ask about the guacamole ?(tasted like plastic) The worst part of it all was I spent almost $80 and we could barely even eat the food! NEVER EVER AGAIN! I feel like they should have paid me to even try and eat their food. Sorry Yo, I. Just. Can’t!!!
The food has always been amazing, and I usually go here for comfort food. Tonight I made the mistake on ordering Uber Eats. Part of my food was missing and the box of food I did get was shaken around to where it was not eatable as well as missing lime and sauce. When I went to the store to get it replaced I was treated like the drinks being missing was my fault, and even with the replaced tacos I got no compensation for the drive to get it, the refund, or the tip I had to give the driver that I won’t get back. I just wish it would have been better. We all are going through a hard time and I sincerely wish they would have just given me the juice instead of me driving home crying feeling dumb.
Omg this place is so good, doesn't matter what I'm wanting, breakfast... lunch or dinner, it's always good. I do feel like the employees could maybe be a little more friendly but..... the food is worth it!!! AND THEY HAVE A DRIVE THRU!!!
I grew up in San Diego. Then moved to Tennessee to get out of that crazy state! I missed good Mexican food the whole time I lived in Tennessee. Then I moved to Texas a found Alvarado this place is the best food I have had in years hands down! Do yourself a favor try it. The staff is great! Only problem we just moved to Saginaw from North Richland Hills. But you bet we still go there a often as we can! Hey guy’s how about an Alvarado 2 in Saginaw?
I recently ordered takeout here for my breakfast. The food was delicious BUT, I regretted it a few hours later. I got the worst case food poisoning that I have ever have had. Probably will not be eating here ever again.
I ordered the Birra tacos. It had bones in it. Half fat half bones. They went thru my already used plate to see how much I consumed. They wouldn't give me rice and beans back since I ate those, which is fine. So I got chicken tacos to go. But they literally touched the food I spit out. Then touched a pen and cash register. All while taking another customers order. Seemed gross! Coming from food service, myself, "WE DONT TAKE/TOUCH ANY FOOD DISAPPOINTED WITH" also no apologies and rude.
I ordered my son's meal without cheese but it had cheese on the beans. When I asked for new beans they tried to charge me over $3 for ones without cheese.My barbacoa was also bland but very fatty and slimy. My husband's burrito also had an off flavor to it.
Great place for a good Mexican food. I really like their breakfast burritos and the chorizo plate.
