Quality of food not great. My soft Taco was old, it was getting hard. They did not put in a fork, no napkins and I didn't get my water bottle either. At 5 pm the dine in area was closed, so we would have to go through the drive through again to get the missing things. And they take the orders so slow. Not going back there. Not sure if I ll try a different location.
At this point, just throw the whole restaurant away. Been coming through the drive thru here for years and to lots of other locations too - the chances of getting your order right are about 1 out of 10. Over the years I have left missing entire plates, drinks, sides, everything. I’ve learned you probably only get everything if you very explicitly remind the employees how your order is prepared (does that come with cheese? And guacamole?) so they don’t forget. If not, there’s no chance. How can other fast food places have such consistently and success with diverse menus but TC cannot come close? Is it training? A complicated menu? This is obviously an issue at the corporate/entire company level.Today, this particular location got my order fully wrong (not a single thing correct on it), and forgot an entire order of flautas, and before all that, handed me another person’s order through the window before I realized it wasn’t mine they had me hand it back. There’s a reason why the other location in town couldn’t make it (it was surrounded by other, more reliable fast food chains) and I’m sure this one is hanging by a thread as well, only saved by its good highway location.A remodel won’t save this place or the company, TC will continue closing locations until they get “consistency” figured out, even if their food has always stayed decent by fast food standards… when it’s correct.
If you’re going to stick to the strict policy of closing at midnight, don’t let 7 cars back up and wait in line for 15 minutes like I did to pull up to the order screen at 12:01 just to be told you just closed. It takes 30 seconds to come outside and inform people so they don’t waste their time. There’s a reason I stopped going to this place for late night food. COVID was a blessing.
Do us all a favor...CLOSE THIS PLACE IMMEDIATELY!Ordered online, prepaid for the entire order, $72 dollars. The Manager REFUSED to give me all my food. Said I bought too many bean and cheese tacos (a dozen), and saving them for "normal" orders. WHAT?? Then REFUSED to give me my money back, and was extremely RUDE about it. Beyond awful service, and the food I received, was wrong - ordered chicken, received beef.... and was not good at all. TC - PLEASE CLOSE THIS ONE!
This location is horrible. I don't even know why I went back. I ordered the three beef enchilada plate with jalapenos. Received two cheese enchiladas and no jalapenos but was charged for the 3 beef. smh.
This place is a disaster! Last night no chips.Really?? A Mexican restaurant and no chips. Today I was refused service inside at 7 pm. Excuse… no help.Should be shut down at this point if the food on the menu is not available and you are not serviced as POSTED at the front entrance! Staff extremely rude. Food that I did order was terrible…COLD.
I was a big fan of your salsa bar. I was told this week it was discontinued because of Covid. The mgr in charge mentioned you were bringing back three things that were on the bar, but you had run out of them already. I ordered a small cheese quesadilla. I used to order it with brisket, but according to the mgr, it was another victim of covid. Can someone please explain to me how covid could affect carrying brisket on your inventory? The quesadilla had no flavor and very little cheese. I ordered Pico on the side so understanding it wasn't on the actual quesadilla, is that really what you charge $5 for? Two tortillas with some cheese in the middle? There was no one in the dining room, but I'm not sure if the dining room was actually opened. Standards for employee uniforms and appearance must have been discontinued because of covid, also. There was one positive thing I saw while I was there that I would point out, the man in front of me in line mentioned he should receive a military discount. The manager at the register quickly responded with a sentiment thanking him for his service. Her sincerity and tone of voice made me proud to be an American. I don't believe that kind of attitude can be trained, that girl brought a good heart to her job. There is an obvious lack of leadership at the store and above store level for this business, a strong leader could make this one of the best fast casual places to eat in New Braunfels. By the way, Taco Palenque has their salsa bar open from the time they open until they close, their dining room is open, and they give you free chips when you place your order.
The cabana bowl with chicken was decent, prices pretty average but did go back another night and ordered the combo plate. It was delicious!
Food was good. Husband ordered crispy tacos, got soft, he enjoyed them. I ordered a carne guisada plate, there was barely enough meat for one taco, it was good but a much smaller portion than I'm used to. I asked for extra hot sauce and some pico, they gave me lots of hot sauce and no pico. Not entirely a bad experience just not what we expected.
I won't ever go to this place again. The line was super long as it is. I waited in line patiently.. then I ordered my food.. and once I receive it..I was Missing more than half of my food. Then I couldn't go in the restaurant to fix my order because doors are locked. And drive thru was long. So I just came to throw money down the drain. First and last time coming here.
