It’s good creamy enough slight iciness , had the interesting raspberry goat cheese flavor. Portion at this location for the single scoop cup was rather on the small side.
Holy harp of all music in heaven! I never thought id have ice cream that would touch my soul. 1. The price is perfect. 2. The size is perfect. 3. The flavor is there. 4. The ice cream is fluffy and creamy at the same time and 5. The cone is delicate, dainty strong and possibly even the best part. The two girls working there were really sweet! Try the goat cheese and raspberry one for something new and amazing in your life Mmmmmmmmmmm
So if you are in the quest to find the most amazing ice cream in very unique, specialized & delicious flavors, you must try this gem of a place. The ice cream is amazing!!! I have never seen such unique flavors. It's definitely worth the trip to Gruene because then you get to go to Gruene to take a leisurely stroll, listen to live music at Gruene Grove and have delicious ice cream. We did this on a Sunday afternoon & it was a wonderful way to spend the day.
I am not typically a sweets person but the Caramel Sea Salt is the best ice cream I've ever tasted. It's a wonderfully complex flavor and they could charge me whatever they want for it.
The only thing unique of about this place is the setup of their shop. The frosty at Wendy's taste better than the belgium chocolate. The strawberry nutella taste nothing like nutella but rather a chocolate ice cream with strawberry seeds or minimal residual of strawberries. They also list prices that are not what they actually charge, so beware! We were charged more than what was listed on the menu board outside. Would rather buy bluebell ice cream than go back there.
Very yummy and friendly staff. We had the strawberry Nutella, vanilla, salt n caramel and banana pudding. It was all fresh and the waffle cones are made on site - you may want a cup as the cones are quite brittle - but yummy!
Absolutely amazing place to come for ice cream and more. We had gotten the Rum Carmel and the Dutch Chocolate on their homemade waffle cones. Both were absolutely delicious!! If you're in Gruene and are looking for hand dipped ice cream or just a sweet treat stop by Rhea's because you will not be disappointed. Also if there is a line remember to be patient because you can not rush greatness.
Wow...the staff was friendly and very helpful in answering my flavor questions. I chose the raspberry and goat cheese but I really wanted to taste the basil walnut flavor. Holy moly! The Basil walnut was amazing! Who would have thought that'd be a great combo. The raspberry and goat cheese was amazing as well. Tasted like a raspberry cheesecake! Yum... Give this place a try and go out on a limb and try their specialty flavors..
Had the basil honey walnut single scoop on a cone, and it was quite good. You can really taste the basil, which made it such an interesting flavor. And the cone is good as well.
I grew up in the land of Jeni's ice cream, and this comes pretty dang close! Flavors were SO good, a little pricier but would gladly pay for the quality ice cream. I won't stop thinking about this ice cream!
