I've had 2 meals at Pho NB. The second visit was to make sure that Imy wife and I didn't just get lucky the first time. Your initial reaction to the restaurant as you enter is its cleanliness followed by the smiling face that will greet you. The tables, seating and cutlery were well maintained and appeared shiny new. What impressed me was the wide selection of condiments on each table. (You will have to ask for extra napkins btw, no biggy) The service is cheery, helpful and speedy. 3 wonderful ingredients, you'll agree. We had spring rolls to start with, which were super fresh and loaded with all the standard ingredients coupled with a very tasty dipping sauce. On the first occasion I had the Beef Pho and my wife had the Chicken Pho. The flavors weren't exactly over powering or overly spicy but you could taste the freshness of the produce. The popularity of the place has a lot to do with that aspect I'm sure. We skipped dessert as the courses we had were more than an ample sufficiency. Our second visit did not disappoint either. On the contrary. I had their pot stickers along with their spring rolls which we enjoyed so much the first time. The pot stickers were unique as they weren't of the typical, commercially punched out variety. The wrap was a little spongy and the interior mix had a distinctive flavor of it's own. My wife had Kung Pao Chicken which she touted as one of the best she's tasted. It certainly looked appealing and fresh. I have to admit, I did sample her sauce with some accompanying rice and I had to agree with her. I maintained course with the Shrimp Pho. I don't know it was me but I thought the broth needed more body, more character but I couldn't fault the other ingredients at all. The prices were very reasonable indeed, all things considered. The cleanliness and service was a carbon copy of the initial meal, first class. All in all, a very satisfying dining experience and easily ranks as one of the top asian restaurants in New Braunfels. Skip the rest, try the best!
I had been craving pho and this place hit the spot. We went a little late on a Sunday night but it was still pretty busy, which is always a good sign. No wait though, and really quick service. I had the beef combo pho, which was excellent. Light but flavorful broth, chewy noodles, tender meats, and they don’t skimp on the portions! Plus their prices are super reasonable which is the icing on the cake! We will be back ASAP! ?
Was excited to try this place out . Food Great! Service a 6/10.Server didn't come back to check on my table until the end to give me check. I wanted more tea :( But to be fair they did get really busy.Would try this restaurant again when I'm back in NB.
The food is great! The staff is well trained and attentive! The only complaint I have is the air conditioning is cold so although the food comes out very hot by the time you eat the small bowl of soup that comes with the meal the rest of the food is cold. This is not a new problem or even just a summer time problem.
The choices are plentiful. The quality of the food and the taste was fantastic!! The atmosphere is casual. The staff is wonderful! Highly recommended!
Our first visit here. Wow have we been missing out. We had the most wonderful late lunch today. I had Vietnamese V2 which was the perfect dish for a summer day. The pork was so tasty and tender. My husband had the Chinese Orange chicken. He said this was not your typical Chinese Orange Chicken, it was so much better than other restaurants serve. Last but not least, the staff is wonderful! Please support this lovely family owned restaurant.
Food was really good, I ordered the Pho with beef, French bread and Thai tea. It was made quickly, tasted incredible and the service was great. I felt bad as an employee asked how the food was and I only responded that the French bread was great and nothing else (the bread was fresh and that’s what I was amazed about), so I wanted to make this review to let them know that they are far better than that.
We enjoyed every bite! It’s a plus that every staff were nice and attentive. We love the vermicelli!
I’ve been going to this place since it opened. They have never disappointed. I’m originally from Houston where there are dozens of pho restaurants so I have pretty high standards. I can say with confidence Pho NB is the best in the area. Service is fast, food is fresh, and meat is tender. Pictured is the pork vermicelli with spring roll.
This place is such a hidden gem!! And it did not disappoint!!They serve northern style pho so they use the flat rice noodles which I kinda love more than the regular pho noodles. I tried both their chicken and beef pho and both are so tasty! The broth taste so clean and comforting. They also make their homemade vinegar sauce that you add to the beef pho that taste amazing! The meat quality is also up there!!I come here everytime I crave pho now!!!! Service is always amazing too! Family run and everyone is so nice !!
