love all of the otg coffee stands! The staff are always pleasant and the coffee is always done just right.
I worked at 3009 East. I had 4 training days and was walking in on my 5th. As I was walking in I was approached by 3 manager and they asked my ride to stay (my beautiful mother). They proceeded to tell me “With certain incidents that have come up we will no longer move forward with you.” The manager that I thought I was cool with and the manager that hired me wouldn’t even look me in the eye. I asked why on multiple occasions and they said “they don’t have to disclose that information in the state of Texas.” My last shift I worked June 20th, 2022 and I turned in a request form that I filled out requesting a week off due to a benign thyroid tumor that would be removed late July. The next shift I was fired…. As I was leaving going home in shock because that was the most fun job and fun people to work with it hit me that IM THE ONLY BLACK EMPLOYEE AT THAT STAND. What happened at that stand that I’m being accused of? I was monitored 24/7 because I was in training. The food (muffins) and extra drink for a friend I did check out and pay for myself UNDER SUPERVISION BECAUSE I WAS STILL NEW TO THE REGISTER!!!
I visit the OTG on 46/Alves Lane and the staff is nothing short of amazing. They know what drink I want when I come by, they always ask me how I am/how work is, and they genuinely care about their customers. The staff make my day that much better when I see them. They all deserve raises!!! PS: I get the blended Jackie with whip & it is DELISH!
Mariah was amazing! Super glad we drove through while she was working. I had never been to one of these coffee stands before, and she kindly answered all of our questions and was very personable. What a great experience and great drinks, too! I got a dirty chai latte with honey and oat milk and my man got a strawberry milkshake. She even made pup cups with whipped cream and a treat for each of our dogs; they loved them of course!
You would think that the OWNERS OF ON THE GRIND WOULD OFFER STRONGER CUPS WHEN THEY CHARGE SO MUCH MONEY! Im tired of coffee cups that fold in or tops come off! Uuuugh im so annoyed ruined my shoes and outfit! STOP BEING CHEAP! Your staff are amazing on alves and 46 ! You OWNER should put i to your business what ypur getting and think of the customer! CUPS GOOD CUPS GET IT! Save people from a mess on the car or clothes!
