Not only the best New York style pizza I have had in Texas it is the best Pizza I have had in Texas, great atmosphere, great staff you can tell the difference between people just trying to get through a shift and people who take pride in their work. Next time I go back I will try the cheesecake overheard people talking about how amazing it was.
Unfortunately, just not what it used to be. My wife is a New Yorker and her family owned a pizzeria for more than 45 years. We know pizza. We searched hard for an authentic New York style pizza and finally found it here right after they opened. We've taken, and recommended this place to, friends for years now and have even taken visiting family members (from the city) to eat here. But, the last few times we visited, the pizza quality just hasn't been the same. Our pizza today was flat and soggy with little of the flavor it used to have. I'm not sure if the business is under new ownership or if the crew is just cutting corners but it just isn't what it used to be. Too bad, we really need a great pizzeria here. Hope they can get their MOJO back.
My family and I have been coming here for several years and have loved this place! We stumbled upon New York Pizza Pub and made it a tradition to drive the 45 minutes here at least every other month.Sadly, today I was highly disappointed. Usually, the pizza is absolutely spot on and delicious. That can’t be said for the pizza we just got. Now, I don’t write a review based off one incident unless it’s extremely terrible. The previous trip we had we could tell the pizza was on a slight decline. We also got the garlic knots which are usually fire! They’re hot, moist, and made from sourdough so you can’t get any better. Well, whatever we just got was cold, hard, not sourdough and just straight nasty. The service was decent. Our waiter was chill, overall friendly dude. He didn’t notice that we ripped apart the garlic knots and ended up not eating them. Also, refills were not a thing unless we asked and that’s a little annoying.Overall, either this place is under new management, or, COVID got them and no one cares now. I guess my family and I will be finding a new spot to get that “perfect” pizza.
I would enjoy any of their pizzas more if they would add ingredients up to the edge of the EXPENSIVE PIZZA. I was just amazed as to how much excess dough is left uncovered by lacking cheese, sauce and other ingredients. So please tweak that issue ASAP otherwise you definitely will not like my next critique
We decided to try this place out and we were not disappointed at all. Nathan was so good to us. He was so attentive. His recommendation for the Cooper pizza was on point especially with adding chicken and bacon. Will definitely come back. The crust was so fluffy and the medium pizza was way more than enough for me. Oh and the cupcake Moscato paired well with the pizza.
I'm a 10-year customer, and I've been a consistent patron. I've turned many people toward NY Pizza Pub, because the pizza is fantastic. The crust has a good thickness/thinness and pull, the sauce is great, and the flavor is on point. They also had a nice ratio of toppings and used the right circumference of the pizza for those toopings. I used to know, while paying a premium price, I was getting a premium slice of pie. However, for the last year and a half, the crust (where you hold it) has gotten increasingly bigger and the toppings have become increasingly scarce. I understand the issues businesses, especially restaurants, have faced since the lockdowns. It's been tough. Please quit reducing your product. I agreed a long time ago to pay a premium price for what was a premium product. I'm still willing to do so, but your product is becoming less premium. I'm not sure exactly why the ratio of the handheld part of the crust is getting bigger, or why the toppings are more scarce...maybe it's unintended, but it's an observation that I've been disappointed to witness.
Extremely disappointed with this place! I’ve been coming here since they first opened.. They use to have the best pizza in.New Braunfels/San Antonio. The last couple of years their prices have gotten up way too much and the quality has gone down! They’ve gotten really stingy with the ingredients!! They stretch the dough way to much and they do not use enough sauce Right now I would rather have a frozen pizza then one of theirs.
I would have given a 5 but the website is horrible for ordering. To build your own pizza there is no place to add your toppings. It shows a price for a basic pizza and then it has a plus or minus to add toppings but no choices are there. Tried it twice and gave up
Loved every bite I had from here! They make some great pizza with decent prices as well! Definitely recommend
Great pizza! It's like no other. It's worth the money. I'll be back for more
