Overheard some other visitors say this place was very good. We think maybe they’re not used to good food because it was just average. Not someplace I would go back to eat. Maybe the locals like the bar, which was decent looking. Our server spilled tea all over a new hat that was just purchased about 10 minutes prior to arriving for lunch. When he handed me our ticket, I handed him my receipt. While he apologized for ruining my hat, not once did he or anyone else offer to discount our ticket, offer my meal up, or anything else. He did give me the money back for my hat though. Maybe he was new, maybe a strange day, not sure what was going on that day, but we did leave a normal tip. I hope the rest of his day was alright. Lessons learned? Who knows. ??♀️ It’ll be up to you if you decide to give this place a try.
Great food. Sandwiches piled high with meat , a real gourmet. Hard to find parking. Small like a long hall. Only one person had a mask on for safety . Very loud so hard to hear. But the food was delicious and large portions. Server was very nice and helpful. Got a table right away so no wait. Was busy. Food was well worth it and delicious. Definitely a place to go. We enjoyed.
We arrived in town at 9pm and found it's the only restaurant open after 9pm on a Friday in Gruene. Grilled fish was burnt, fries were cold, and sliders were spicy. Server never came back to refill drinks or to check on us. Had to flag someone down for our bill. Only 3 other tables at the time. (Most traffic was at the bar). Food was terrible. Never coming back
Stopped in for a quick bite and enjoyed the quaint atmosphere and service. Ty was our waiter and did not disappoint. We enjoyed the delicious margaritas and meatball appetizer.
I’ve been coming here many years. My daughter Sara , ordered the hot dog! All the time!Every time I visit Mozies I try to order some thing different.Today I had the con burger which is a delicious grilled charred cheese burger without a bun.I also ordered the fresh homemade chips. OMG they are yummy.For desert… this is the first time I ordered this strawberry/jam cake…I recommend this place !

Though the restaurant appears to be a bar only, there are tables in the back. The food arrived hot and prepared deliciously. This is a delightful place to eat with attentive wait staff and a good, varied menu. Ready to go again.
The best place to go for a really cold beer and some of the best burgers and sandwiches! The spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread is always a hit!
I really enjoyed this little place, a former bank, nestled on the corner by the Gruene Hall. Our bartender gave us a little of the history of the building, along with delicious sandwiches and cold drinks. I recommend the Panko Chicken Sandwich and the Spicy Margarita!
Excellent service. Friendly and helpful. We had the Reuben and the Fish Tacos. Tried the homemade potato chips with the Reuben. All very good. It's a small place and they fill up quickly so get there early or be prepared to wait for seating. Returned to try the anticucho pasta dish and appetizer. Both excellent. Looking forward to going back to try the char-king and panko parmesan chicken sandwich.I highly recommend Mozie's.
