I like it better than the Longhorn! delicious perfectly cooked steak, cold fresh salad and a nice big baked tater with all the fixin's couple with good service! cant beat it!
The food here is worth the money. My steak was cooked perfectly, juicy, tender and it was amazing portion! The macaroni and cheese was super cheesey ? . My kids were so happy with their portions aa well! Really have no complaints for this place .. they’re very attentive, super friendly and polite! I definitely would go back!
Even though they did make a few mistakes on the temperature of our steaks. Everything was good and very affordable. The staff was also very good. We were from out of town and found this place and really enjoyed it if I go back in town I'll visit them again. Just to be clear the entire experience was five-star I would not call this a gourmet restaurant but for the price you get exactly what you expect and more.
This is my third time coming out to Montana Mike's, making the drive from San Antonio. Have to say that it's well worth the visit. Had the T-Bone Steak which was cooked to perfection. Very tasty and Juicy. The baked potato was also cooked perfectly. I almost never use steak sauce, but the MM restaurant label is totally irresistible. I even purchased 2 bottles to take home. Our server was friendly and very attentive. I definitely recommend Montana Mike's for your next steak outing.
tldr: Top notch service, delicious steaks at an affordable price.I came here because I wanted a ribeye and didn’t want to pay $40+ to get it. I didn’t expect the best steak I’ve ever eaten for $22 and to be fair, I didn’t get it. The steak came out looking medium to medium well, I ordered medium rare. No big deal, I told the guy that brought it out it was good and started eating. It was very good, not exactly how I ordered but still very good. When my waitress came back she saw that it was over cooked and insisted that I let her fix it. I resisted at first letting her know I wasn’t picky and it actually was good, but she wouldn’t take no for an answer. She took the steak back and got it PERFECT and even got me an extra side while I waited for it to come back out. I haven’t gotten that level of service even when I have paid $40 or more, and I’ve also had steaks at that price that weren’t as good. This is my first time ever to any Montana Mike’s location and I can’t speak for the other locations, but this one in New Braunfels is doing something right! We had a great waitress I believe her name was Tanya. She was top notch, made sure we had everything we needed. And the food came out fairly fast and hot including the chicken wings they ordered before the meal. I had the Cajun Ribeye, my husband had a large cowboy steak, and my son had the chicken fried chicken sandwich. Everything was awesome!
Consistently great food and service. Appetizer specials before dinner time and happy hour are great. Dinner here is always good and hearty. Fantastic steaks, burgers, chicken and pork chops. Big portions, including the sides. Kids eat free one night out of the week, not sure which at the moment. Great staff.
The service is absolutely wonderful. The food was spot-on and served at the right pace and temperature. We really enjoy dining here.
Lunch specials are out fast and hot, we had the sirloin beef tips with grilled veggies and rice and the grilled chicken bacon sandwich, both very delicious. Our side salads were large, couldn't finish mine, but dressing was homemade and yummy!
Great steakhouse, cool inside, friendly wait staff; portions are generous; within a few minutes of seating, they bring you warm, fresh rolls with butter or butter mixed with cinnamon...delicious; I split the half baby back rib meal for $21 - huge portion (at least 12); ribs were outstanding, cooked perfectly and not drowning in barbecue sauce like other places mistakenly do. Can't wait 'til my next visit!
