Great Food! Great Atmosphere! Fun Music!
Great atmosphere, food and service. Krause’s Cafe is kid friendly. They have high chairs and a kids menu. I had the banana pancakes for breakfast. A+
one of our favorites in New Braunfels. Love the food, like the service, and of course the variety of entertainers that come through. wonderful place!
Krause's has been around for over sixty years. Great German food and American food. Over 70 different beers, if your into beers. Plus a regular bar. Our lunch was basic but delicious. Great deviled eggs and german sausage. I'm not a sauerkraut fan, but I'm sure it's good because everything else was. Potatoes were just alright. Needed some kind of seasoning. Live bands and a farmer's market on Saturdays. Always something going on here. Would definitely go back.
Fun atmosphere with a live music show. I was lucky enough to try a little bit from everyone's plate and everything I tried (especially the various types of schnitzel) was just amazing. Would love to come back. the pricing is a little high though, so keep that in mind.
Live music all day. Relaxed, western atmosphere. Indoor restaurant, more informal indoor dining area, and huge outdoor area with stage. German food was delicious. Waitstaff friendly and efficient. Dog friendly outdoor area.
A bit of a touristy destination, but also loved by locals. Great lunches and a nice place to have a supper. Traditionally prepared German plates come with hearty serving sizes. Staff is a bit overwhelmed when busy. You can sit inside or in an outdoor area.
The Wild Sausage Sampler and Sausage Samplers were both amazing, they are larger than you'd expect, and all taste different from the last. Best experience with our waitress too. Amanda B was awesome, we appreciate the suggestions on ciders and food.
The food is good but the kitchen service has gone down hill, my family eats here fairly often and we’ve noticed the computer ordering system the wait staff uses is prone to malfunction pretty often, such as deleted orders, incomplete orders etc. On our last visit for Breakfast before visiting the Farmers Market it took at least thirty minutes to get most of our order, one plate took about forty five minutes to arrive after being reordered three times. I asked the waitperson if I could complain to the Manager and was told it wouldn’t help and I should call the office. We have been frequenting this establishment for over twenty years now and it appears we may need to find someplace else to eat if these issues are not corrected!
We only had drinks but this scene is cool. The food looked great and we will be back to try. One waitress was a little snooty but everyone else were super friendly.
