This is by far the best bar experience I've ever had in my life. I truly mean that and I grew up in fort worth. I'm a history nut and love the period knowledge and history behind the drinks which they specialize in 1880-? Drinks.It's always a pleasure knowing even my great great grandmother knew how to have a good time. Also it's refreshing to have a drink experience where the isn't screaming Bachelorette party's in your ear. So hats off to this place.

I was really sad to hear that Goodwins was still closed on July 12, 2021. Best bartender ever. It is a really special place and hands down the best cocktails I have ever had. The care and attention that is placed into each drink along with all the homemade ingredients and hard to find spirits make this an unmatched experience. I hope they are open soon!
If you like a speakeasy style experience then is an ok place. I like cocktails a lot and found this place lacking. I stayed up stairs in the open area and just had beers. Classic cocktails had house made names, the bartender muddled orange peel in a glass for an old fashioned, and the vermouth had a weird taste which indicated it had not been refrigerated. I realize this seems real nit picky, but like I said, I like well done mixed drinks. If you are really in to the cocktail experience then there is another local haunt you should try.
