As they say, best burritos in the world (if your world is considered New Braunfels only)
***MILITARY DISCOUNT*** Fast and friendly customer service. The burritos and Bowls are huge and delicious. Love the new additions, VEGAN friendly menu! The Vegan Chorizo and cauliflower rice are similarly seasoned so only pick one. Pairs well with the Cilantro lime rice? My kids loved the meat choices and have now converted from only wanting Chipotle to wanting Freebirds. ?
Visited for the first time during lunch on a Friday. The food was lacking a bit of flavor and nothing was spicy to me including the sauce on the table. Coming from Colorado, there is a variety of burrito places to choose from so I knew I had to try Freebirds. I had a freebird size burrito with the cayenne tortilla, cilantro rice, black beans, potatoes, pico, hot tomatillo, ranch, sour cream, queso, shredded cheese, and jalapeño sauce. I will say the staff is friendly and the restaurant was quite clean. They also have an awesome patio area. I was just hoping for more flavor and spice.
It was good food but it wasn't what I expected from what I had heard from others
First time ordering from here after moving to the area. Placed a mobile app order and called to add two tortillas on the side since I couldn’t find the option on the app. They were friendly and added one tortilla (asked for two, but still okay). I get home to find my bowl was missing some of the ingredients that I had ordered and all of the sauces were missing (like the ranch that I paid extra for). So I ended up with a very dry and sad bowl since it was not what I had ordered. It’s the small things that truly make a big difference, especially when it’s something we are charged extra for. Very disappointed in the online ordering experience here.

Still my favorite burrito place. Please don't take away the prime rib option. It's amazing.
Prime rib was stringy and chewy, the tomatillo salsa was not spicy, and the potatoes were dry and cold.
I have been here several time and I am never disappointed. I most recently started eating the bowl with cilantro rice, black beans and chicken...so good. I recommend this place to everyone.
I placed a curbside order and received an email stating the time that it would be ready. I arrive only to be told that they couldn't find the order and then dared to ask me if I had placed it at that location. Moments later they find it but it has not been prepared. So I'm told they'll get it out asap. TWENTY minutes later, I'm still waiting . Long story short, it took 30 minutes before I got my order. All because they hadn't prepared it because they were out of Spanish rice. Never again! Worst service ever.
