friendly service great food
I've been here a handful of times and have never once been disappointed with the service or the food. They are kind and attentive, as well as fantastic with their menu and any customizing. I can't seem to stop ordering the chicken and waffles, but I have tried my partners dishes many times as well. This is a must try if you are in the New Braunfels area.
I was so excited to try this place since it had such good reviews. I ordered the marinated chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes and a chicken soup. The chicken was tough and dried out. I could barely cut into it! I gave up sawing through it and just picked it up and took a bite. That was my last bite. It was awful. Beside the toughness and dryness it just tasted horrible! So I went on to the mashed potatoes thinking, no one can mess that up. I was wrong. They tasted like boxed mashed potatoes ? the green beans were no different they were canned. The chicken soup had tons of fatty pieces of chicken skin in it and I couldn’t take it anymore. I thought about bringing home to my dogs but I instead through it in the trash because I don’t want my dogs to have to go through that! To top it all off this horrible meal cost me $20!!! I can’t understand how this place has good reviews. STEER CLEAR!!
First time here today. French toast was heavenly ? and the service was great ?Highly recommend ?
The staff here is very friendly and fast. The food is good, not great, but prepared quickly and served while hot.
I had a delicious breakfast plate in mid afternoon. My omlet was prepared perfectly, bacon and hash browns were extra crispy as I ask for and the biscuit with a side of gravy was homemade and perfect. I loved and enjoyed every single bite. I will most definitely be back. Everything is freshly prepared when you order and I love that old fashion caring way of food service. The staff was very welcoming and warm, Texas style. My cowgirl hat's off to the chef and staff!!! Can't wait to see you again!
This was the first time that we had eaten here. Our first impression was that the decor did not really match the location. Meaning, it was dated and there wasn't a cohesive theme. We weren't sure what kind of restaurant we were eating at. It had a diner feel, but looked like something out of the late 80s. We went on a Tuesday night and there was only one other couple there. The prices were higher than were expected from the atmosphere. I ordered the marinaded chicken with mushroom sauce and my wife ordered the chicken with garlic sauce. Each was over $16. They came with a salad and two vegetables. The chicken was a large portion but the sides were small and the salads were unimpressive. As far as flavor, we were both disappointed, especially at that price point. As far as the service was concerned, there was much to be desired. They did welcome us, took out order and the food was served quickly, but that was it. The waitress never even check to see if we liked the food or if we needed anything. We will definitely not be going back unless they improve dramatically. We definitely do not recommend Avery's Kitchen.
The menu prices in the restaurant were about 20% higher than the online menu prices making this the most expensive breakfast in town. It is also incredibly loud in there and the temperature had to be below 60 degrees. We mentioned the cold temperatures to our waitress and received a sullen stare as a response. I was so glad to get out of there and I will never go back. BTW, the overpriced food was good.
Loved the service my fiancé and I took my mother today and it was her first time and she loved it so I would definitely tell everyone to go eat here
Good food with an nice ambiance inside, nice and wonderful place to visit.
