The best (huge) shrimp sandwich around. I've only loved on Nacogdoches about 6 months. gone there for the shrimp sandwich at least once a month. really good fries also. Fast, efficient & friendly service as well.

they have the best grilled catfish, all the food is good and they give you plenty to eat. The staff can't be beat. they are kind and courteous.
We were looking for something different and found Sam's. We were really glad we did. Tried a bit of everything. Fish, Shrimp, crab cakes, hushpuppies, beans and rice, green beans, fries, fried mushrooms and pickles. The food was all delicious and the portions were large. Also, the best remoulade sauce I have had in East Texas. Really great place!

Out of the 4 wait staff our waitress was the best the owner just seemed like she got her nails done and texting was more important then her customers requests. On top of all of that the food was not good the fries were cold and hot hard and soft. The fish was rubbery crab cakes had no flavor and the shrimp was ok but not worth the 75 bucks the meal cost and it wasnt even good. My wife got a steak cause they had some special realize after there isn't steak anywhere on the menu so surprise when it's thin and isn't cook correct. Again the one waitress we had was new but still nice it is the only reason it gets a star. She also didn't ask if the meal was good at the end like she knew. So all in all wouldn't recommend unless you like disappointment.

My kid had been here a few times before and had decided we were going to eat here for lunch with my Aunt and Uncle. We had ordered fried mushrooms and pickles for an appetizer. They were fantastic. The shrimp were a little on the odd size. (They were in between a large shrimp and a medium sized shrimp.) You could have opted for your meal to be grilled or fried. I should have opted for grilled. The fried was a bit much for my tastes.They had a ton of homemade desserts that were amazing. I wanted to try the Honeybun cake. My son had ordered the chocolate cake, which was just as good as my mom makes it.This is a fantastic hole in the wall restaurant and is worth a stop.
The food was good, served hot. We waitress was good BUT the place was COLD. The owner told the waitstaff the rooftop unit needed the pilot lit. That kind of unit DOES NOT have a standing pilot.
