First time coming in. Felt like I wasn't supposed to be there or welcome. Food was good but customer service felt real off.
This is my first time coming to Nacogdoches and I wanted to try out this place. Just by walking in, this place very clean and sanitized. Customer service is very friendly. I had gotton a sliced brisket sandwich and I enjoyed the flavor. A 5 stars to go!
If you want smoked meat on Sunday, you're going to Mike's. You should go the other days of the week too. Because it's good. Brisket was tender, had nice flavor, and some good bark. Three of us ate for less than $30. I've spent more than that at a popular KC joint I like on just myself. The staff was super nice too. Thanks Mike.
I have always ordered the super stuffed baked potato with extra meat. For some reason the potato was BAD! The meat was tasteless and watery, there was no sour cream, chives,bacon bits and the cheese wasn't melted. I don't know what happened but it was sad.
I was craving bar-be-que chicken. Mike’s was the only restaurant with chicken on the menu. I watched as the cook took a piece of frozen chicken and dropped it in the microwave. I heard the crank of the chicken as it hit the bottom of the microwave and then the cashier told me it would be 15 minutes. I felt my blood boil. This is not bar-be-que chicken. What an insult. I gave Mike’s 1 star because I have not tasted all of their food and I never will. Never again!
Brisket was OK at best. Only 1/8" smoke ring and no bark. Sauce was good. But it comes already on the brisket (assuming its so you dont taste the bland meat by itself) so you dont get to choose your own meat to sauce ratio.In short.. tastes like an unseasoned brisket in the oven covered in good sauce... still better than Dickys!
Didn't really like it. Friendly staff, but the place was a little disorganized and the process were high for the tiny quantity. Neither the wife nor I enjoyed the food. Was a nice spot to stop and eat though even if we were disappointed.
~Ok ~ food but if you ask questions about the 2 meat plate to a certain little girl at the drive through, she will roll her eyes derisively and try to make you feel stupid with her remarks. To bad. She ruined an otherwise pretty good bbq joint. I"ll never go back!
When my family evacuated for Delta, we discovered this place. The food was so good. I would take a road trip just to go back and eat there. They have a wide variety of foods to choose from.
First timer here. Ordered a “grilled chicken sandwich”, waited 15 minutes for it, and it was the absolute worst chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Terrible flavor. Cold meat. Will not be back.
