Took my dad to eat here today. I ordered fried mushrooms. When they finally brought them out they were either fried in old grease or re- fried. & they were not very hot. They were so hard I could not eat them. My chicken fried steak was the same way. I normally love the mushrooms. Disappointed! I did not say anything to waitress because this was a outing for my elderly dad and I didn’t want to dull his evening. My dads grilled fish was ok. My knife handle was broken off and we both had to ask for another because they were dirty. Our waitress was nice.
Onion rings are by far the best, "note" Texas sizes is for like 8 people...? Had a burger and it was really good and juicy. Grilled chicken look good on another table, I'll have to come back. Rate 3 star just because of the wait time for the food and was not too busy for 30 minutes to get 2 burgers. Servers need to ve more attentive with customers drinks too. But would definitely return!
So good! We both ordered the Little Buddy as well as the small onion rings. Because it was National onion ring day so it was a must. Tasty! My other half, not an onion ring fan, loved them. We both ordered the Little Buddy’s, the shrimp and catfish combo. He stuck with the sides as is and they allowed me to sub green beans and veggies. I love the green beans! Would definitely go back.
Stopped by while in the area for lunch. The decor and set up is eclectic, plenty of seating. Service was cordial but not overly friendly. The food was very good, particularly the onion rings, but it did seem like the oil needed to be changed on the items we ordered that were fried. The menu had a lot of variety, so we'd definitely give the place another chance.
Have eaten here many times and always start with the onion rings. OMG They are so goooood! And you get a pile of them, too. Any dish you pick will be delicious.
Found this place by recommendation from a friend. What an interesting place to visit. It is located in an old building that was part of the local train station many, many years ago. The food and service are outstanding. Some items seem a little pricey - but the portion size makes up for it. Would definitely go here again.

Clear Springs in Nacogdoches, TX is one of my favorite restaurants! One of my favorite items on the menu is the crab cake!!! It is rich and flaky! Super delicious! I also really enjoy their fried oysters! Yum!
A very pleasant surprise we bumped into. The decor is really cool, the burger, fries and tea were good. Kiddos loved their chicken tenders and the salmon salad was okay. They have a family restroom and changing table. The restrooms ought to be cleaner.
The best onion rings and catfish youll ever have. The prices have gotten to as high as Id ever pay to out but its still amazing food.
