It is a simple place, but clean and friendly with a lot of TV screens. Big outdoor seating area and lots of space to dock your boat if you came via water. The service was good, the menu very simple, one page, two sides. We had the fried pickles, they are spears as opposed to chips. I prefer the chips for a better pickle to breading ratio, but there was a good amount of crunch on these and they were quite tasty. We also tried the hot wings which were quite good. They have a warning sign for the hotness, but don’t be afraid. A mild running nose and no prolonged or excessive heat was experienced. I would out them right below a Buffalo Wild Wings hot and well below those Wild. The Philly cheese steak was really good, but needed a little seasoning. It came with pickled jalapeños, onion and peppers. We spent a little more than I would have expected, but we sampled a couple extra items as first timers. We enjoyed it and will be back.
We decided to come out to lake Conroe for the very first time and try lunch. Plenty of parking, great signage, many seating options. I regret to say that the energy of all the staff we encountered was very low. They were not rude, they just didn’t seem like they were happy to be there or in a good mood. That was a little bit disappointing. Also, don’t come here if you want timely service. Everyone was moving very slow. The food & drinks options are great, so are the prices. The food presentation was also very pleasing, but unfortunately it didn’t taste as good as it looked for some reason. Lacking true flavor. None of the sauces tasted house made, which can make all the difference. Large portions. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere though. Very serene and beautiful view…except for another patron who was publicly relieving himself off the deck in front of everyone dining and then throwing dead fish into the water, but that’s out of anyones control.
CLH was a nice place to sit by the lake while enjoying a beverage and burger. I ordered their burger and fries. The burger tasted as though it was fire grilled. It had a nice deep flavor with a flavorful brioche bun. I also ordered a strawberry mule that was absolutely delicious.Additionally, I was very pleased with the renovations and the way they have changed up the atmosphere from the prior restaurant. The reason for 4 stars was there was a weird smell inside the restaurant that was a little off putting and the restaurant entrance wreaked of a dirty trash can. It isn’t a deal breaker, but if bad smells deter you, just know the food tastes very good.
Excellent meal on Easter Sunday!! Chelsea, our waitress did a great job!
We came to celebrate some birthdays with family from out of town. The was the best spot to together. Plenty of beautiful patio space with a small beach too. I love how pet friendly the place is. It was a sunny day perfect for their Lake House Mules. Yummy! Shy was nice enough to help us take pictures and Marquis was a awesome server. She was very helpful and made sure we had the best time. Food was good; little brother even got two pieces of their cheesecake! Sadly they were out of some foods but everything we settled on was tasty.
We had a wonderful St. Patrick’s day at the Lake Conroe House. Angela was amazing, kinda and courtesy with wonderful service!!! The drinks were fantastic and the food was out of this world! Highly recommend the Chicken Alfredo, Philly Cheesesteak and Crawfish(YUMMY)! If you are looking for a laid back, fun, beautiful place to eat with amazing food, you should make your way out to Lake Conroe House for sure! We can’t wait to come back!!!!
We enjoyed it! Our server Gabby was great. 5 stars Gabby! Great atmosphere. They really did a great job with the remodel. It has a play area for the kids and a beach. The place was packed and we still were seated quickly. The food was delicious. I loved the fried pickles. The steak was cooked to order and the sides were also good. I will be back.
Great experience once again and Rachel was very attentive. We had shrimp tacos, chicken tacos and Cajun shrimp pasta. We all really enjoyed our meals and large enough portions to take leftovers to go. Also loved the veterans and law enforcement reserved parking spots.
We came here with a group of friends and the kiddos and really enjoyed the new vibe here. So much cleaner and a better style than when it used to be Wolfies. The menu is great, and has beautiful presentation. I love the large play area for the kids, and there is even a spacious dog park for the fur babies too! I had a philly cheesesteak that was so damn good, like it melts in your mouth, and the frozen margaritas were delicious on a beautiful sunny day too. Chelsea was a sweet and attentive server, and we enjoyed her taking care of us and her great recommendations. We look forward to returning, and can't wait to see it completed with the performance stage.
My wife and I made some new friends who moved to Texas recently. We all wanted to go get some food and decided to try Conroe Lake House. They told us roughly an hour wait, and we got seated in about 35 min. I can't really complain about that. We saw an order of cheese sticks delivered to a table near us and had to try them. I couldn't decide, so many items sounded good but went with the Brisket Grilled Cheese. My wife got the Nacho burger. Our friends decided to split the Brisket Grilled Cheese and Mac Daddy Burger. Everyone left full and satisfied. My wife even woke up this morning talking about how good the burger was. Our waitress was attentive and did a good job despite being completely packed. We had a little hitch in the giddy up, but she handled it like a pro and didn't hamper our experience. Overall, it was a very enjoyable night out to eat with new friends. The upgrades are amazing. The team did a phenomenal job and created a wonderful environment. Weather you go for a few drinks with friends or dinner with a group, Conroe Lake House is a great option.
