a great Mexican restaurant to feel its vibe, inside and outside is just wonderful. Service is great. Drinks are great. But food left us with less desire to go back. Its way to seasoned that ribeye as an example had no taste of its self, and no taste of meat. The only food we enjoyed was the chips and salsa.

Awesome place to go! Great Margaritas and friendly people, and good food! Only downside to our trip was they messed up one of the orders out of 9 people, and they fixed it promptly so not really a big issue haha. Definitely 4.5/5
First time at this restaurant yesterday and I loved it. The food was delicious! The atmosphere was great. The servers where all friendly. So far best Mexican restaurant that I like near me.
The best Mexican restaurant in Conroe!! We live nearby and it’s always our go-to spot. The service is fast and always good and the food and margaritas are DELICIOUS. Plus there’s a free ice cream machine and the cutest patio. Highly recommend!!
These is a good place to dine in! Friendly servers and staff! It's not too loud and and they also play good music in English and Spanish! Enjoy peeps!!
The air conditioning was blowing hard on us. It was a cold day,we were freezing. The waiter said the air conditioning wasn't on. Clearly it was. Two out of 3 of us didn't get the correct order. We had to ask the waiter several times for items. Seems he was more interested in taking care of a family with a bunch of kids who came in after us. The food wasn't that great... especially cold. This was afternoon,the place wasn't busy enough to get such bad service
Really really good Mexican food. Not local to Texas so can’t compare to others in the area, but this is still some of the best Mexican food we’ve had in a long time. Fully recommend the El Rey.
The food used to be great, especially the fajitas. The quality is not nearly as good as it once was. Unfortunately, I refuse to go there during daytime hours because of extended happy hour parties. It seems that all the mothers think it is THE place to take their children and turn them loose to create havoc in the dining room while they are drinking their numerous margaritas. I cannot enjoy eating when all these kids are running circles and playing chase around the tables, climbing over the back of my booth, pulling on the draperies, screaming, etc. None of the mothers attempt to discipline their children. The waiters have to dodge these kids and ignore their customers who want to dine in. Happy hour should be restricted to the bar area or patio out back and not last all day. I have been there 3 times in the past 2 years and the atmosphere is always the same. I won't be back.
Always consistent. Food is a great choice for a great Mexican dish(any choice from the menu, we have had it all) and a good atmosphere! The service is also always consistently hit or miss. Sometimes we get great service and it's prompt and delightful, other times the wait staff seems either stressed or otherwise 'put-upon' to have to wait on us.Without considering service(unfortunately), I would recommend the restaurant with 5 stars! If service is your biggest factor, I would recommend with extreme caution, it will definitely depend on who you end up with as your wait staff!
