It was my first time visiting the restaurant. In the owner and his wife were so delightful. They were very easy to talk to...very southern-style people. The food was delicious. I ordered the fish and fries with hush puppies. I also ordered a shrimp po-boy for later and one for my friend. Everything was cooked fresh to order and well-seasoned. The shrimp for the po boys were nice size and fried to perfection. The bread was the right French bread for the Bourbon Street po-boy. I did not take a picture of my Po Boy. I am so sorry, but the next time I go I will definitely be posting a picture of it . Everything was delicious and I am definitely going to be visiting this place more often.
This review is very late, as I came at the end of December. All I can say is better late than never. The day that I came, Pat was helping a fellow friend of his and he was not open. I was so sad because I had been looking forward to trying the food. I spoke with Pat and he sincerely apologized and asked me to come back the next day and he would take care of me. The next day was New Years Eve and luckily for me I got off at 3pm. I was so looking forward to trying the Shrimp Po Boy, I couldn't wait. This place deserves all the praises that it's getting. The customer service that Pat provides is superb! My Shrimp Po Boy was definitely all that. It reminded me of when I go to Cajuns in New Orleans. I get upset because my shrimp is falling out of my sandwich. That's a good thing though. I didn't think that I would like the Seafood Boudain Balls but Pat proved me wrong. They were quite tasty. He opens at 3pm which is kinda late, but I'm willing to take a late lunch for that! I work in the area so I will be going there for that good, authentic food. I plan on trying the fish too!

Being a former new orleanean , this is an Original nawlins po-boyz spot !I had the Hush puppies, boudain balls and shrimp poboy , and fries and I'm going back for more today! Pat is passionate about his food, food quality and service! Everything was seasoned to perfection! They use large shrimp on the poboyz and 8 ins was more than enough ! They make everything fresh! Made to order so you not getting frozen nothing! My new cajun cuisine spot in Houston!Thanks Pat for your hospitality! I enjoyed every. Single. Bite. And everything!
The food was delicious and fresh. Its taste just like the restaurants in new Orleans. Finally I don't have to go way to Louisiana to get authentic New Orleans food.
We stopped at this place today after my kids soccer game. With us not being from this part of town, we decided to search online for places nearby & chose this place. It’s the best decision we’ve made in a long time! From the moment we walked in we were made to feel so welcome & that’s before I even start to talk about the food! The poboys were amazing - cooked to perfection! After we ate, we got chance to speak to the owners (they also cook the food & do everything there) & they are the most genuine, hard-working and down to earth people you could wish to meet & we thank them for taking care of us.During the pandemic, small businesses have been hit hard and need our support! If you’re hungry, please go here and sample their amazing food and hospitality - you will not be disappointed! They are a credit to their community & we wish them every success moving forward!
Thee best sausage Po Boy and fried fish I’ve had in Houston. Well seasoned and great portion size. The flavor is packing in all the food!! This place is truly a gem and so is the owner Pat. He makes you feel like family. I’ll be back again and again.
Impossible to find another establishment that would give you the quality of food and service that Pat & Bourbon Street have to offer. It was my first time there but I’ll be back for more ASAP!
We just stopped by because it was close by. My husband said their fries are THE BEST he has had in a long time!!!! I agree!!!! I didn’t even need ketchup toes were so good. I had the shrimp po-boy and he had the catfish po-boy…perfection!!!!! Bread is soft, protein crispy outside and tender inside on both. We will definitely be there again! I would add photos but the food is gone already?
First time there. Food is AMAAAAAAZING and super fresh. Got shrimp po boy and fries! I asked for light seasoning and tartar on side and the chef did it perfectly. Hostess was super sweet and conversational in spite of having a bad toothache. Now that’s quality customer service. Super delicious and great visit. Will definitely tell my girlfriends to come with me next time. Worth every dime ?
