My stepson told me about this place. He bragged about the catfish sandwich and stated the BBQ was good.My wife and I definitely had to try it out. The food was very good and the portions were very large. The brisket was tender and had a nice bark/taste.I was very impressed by the food served at Ace's. We will definitely be going back. Laid back environment and a nice place to bring family and friends.Great customer service with a smile. I forgot to mention the Mac and Cheese and Potato Salad. I just don't eat anyone's potato salad.Especially store bought stuff. Hated it. I love Ace's potato salad. Finally, in my opinion, potato salad made the way potato salad is supposed to be made.That Miracle Whip stuff, in my opinion, sucks. Sorry Miracle Whip lovers (Yucky). Thank you Jesus for great food. This is definitely Texas BBQ at its best. Don't forget to leave a good tip.Good BBQ is definitely a labor of love and very hard to find. My wife and I also went to the Ace Restaurant in Edinburg because it's closer to our home.I guess you can have the same name but not the same food. The Ace Restaurant in Edinburg was good but we noticed the potato salad in Edinburg wasn't the same potato salad they made in Mission.Both Ace restaurants our a great place to enjoy awesome BBQ. In my opinion, the Ace in Mission is definitely better.Sorry Edinburg. Just my opinion. You'll find the love at both locations but we felt more love at the Ace in Mission.I thank both locations for doing what they do but if I want the bomb potato salad, I'm going to Ace Restaurant in Mission.Just keeping it real. My review is a 4 but my husband’s would be a 5. He had the ribs/brisket special and loved both. He said it was his favorite bbq so far in the valley. I had the baked potato with brisket and was a little disappointed. It was barely warm and for some reason tasted too salty. The brisket was good though. We will definitely return.
Great food! Nice people. Music was a treat. We had a variety of food and everyone enjoyed it. The peach cobbler was complimentary and delicious. We’ll be back.
I don't like giving bad reviews for one or two things that we ordered. But, the ribs we ordered were chewy. They tasted great, just chewy. The Brisket was good as well as the shrimp and sausage. But, the Chicken could of been better. The sides and especially the Peach Cobbler were great.
We called in our oder between the NFL Division Championship game. Great price, outstanding quick service and, great food. Highly recommend
Food was decent, but the amount was very little for the price. Too expensive, there's better bbq joints out there.

Food tasted good but the amount served on plate for the price is not worth it. Got the brisket and chicken plate was served one single slice of brisket cut in three slices to make it seem you get more. Very disappointed.
Great smoky flavorful ribs and brisket! A must stop for bbq lovers. It was quite an experience at Ace BBQ not only was the food great, but an added bonus was the outstanding personal service by MRS. Plate for 16.99 had only 2 slices of bread. Extra plate was not given. My peach cobbler was given as we were about to leave. Had to ask twice for a plate to go. First time there. Never going back!!.
