We were in town for a wedding, staying at a hotel down the street. I was looking for a local restaurant for our group to stop in for breakfast. Caroline's was exactly what I was looking for - had the feeling of a small, mom and pop style restaurant. When we walked inside I heard the hostess tell a guest "see y'all tomorrow" - so I knew it was good. The menu had a lot of options that I considered classic for a southern style breakfast. I ordered the "two eggs any style with corn beef hash and biscuits or toast." I ordered my biscuit with gravy, grits on the side and my eggs over medium. Everything was cooked exactly as asked. The food came out quick and the service was SO friendly - always ready with a coffee warm up if needed. Would recommend if you're in the area and want local food!
Great hometown atmosphere. You can tell this is a patriotic team, and the food and service was terrific. Parking was easy and the prices were very reasonable.
Stopped in for lunch on the way to Ft. Worth and found the service to be very cordial, but somewhat slow. The food was good but nothing to rave about. Since we were in no particular hurry, the leisurely pace was not an issue.
Been there several times over the years and the food was ok. This morning it was horrible. The toast burnt, hash browns like rubber, and bacon in the omelette was like beef jerky. Caroline it is time for a cook change. Coffee was good.
This is Thomas I've met him this week he took me to this restaurant and it was outstanding The waitresses were very nice excellent food and excellent service Thomas is a 84 year old Korean war veteran
Very short handed. Seated promptly but took 1 hour 55 minutes get our order. Out of lot items on breakfast menu. New kitchen staff.
We decided to give this place another chance after 5 years of saying we wouldn’t go back!!! We were then reminded why we never eat here!!! Sat down ordered our drinks after sitting there for ten minutes. Got our drinks finally and ordered our food. Waited about 30 minutes to be told they were out of hash browns ok that’s fine we will do French fries. To then wait another 30 minutes for the cook and another server notice we haven’t gotten our food yet!!! Waited another 15 minutes to finally food coming out to be told they were out of the main dish that we ordered. We stood up and said never mind we are leaving because we have waited over an hour for our food to not even get the food we ordered. All the waitress said was sorry and let us get up and walk out. No manager no apology nothing. Front desk lady just looked at us as we walked out. Will not be back!!! Don’t even want to give the one star but have to to leave a review!!!
I love this place. Home feel, very kind and respectful staff. I take my kids on mother daughter dates, my husband for any reason, to talk, to laugh to comfort. The food is delicious, the staff are very friendly, the prices are well within reason. Good atmosphere. All around relaxing and great place
