The food is good and reasonably priced but every time I order from the app for ahead of time they get my order ready way before the pickup time and they don't have a food warmer so when I pick it up the food it's cold!!.. They need to stick to the pickup times!

Second time here (inside HEB) for BBQ. Great taste, great flavor and good portions.I'd definitely recommend. I'll be back, next time in town.
We had turkey, brisket and chicken. Was well worth it. We also had the loaded cornbread that was very interesting and good. We got our barbecue fix and we're not disappointed. The meat had a very nice smoked flavor.
I used to love this place! It really was a hidden gem. For about the past year this place has had some issues. A lot of the times the orders have been wrong, completely forgetting an entire plate. Of course this isn’t realized until after arriving home. They also tend to forget the little things like bread, onion and pickles. I’ve seen where the soda fountain is out of order and canned drinks are served. One thing I have noticed is that the plates have been downsized. McDonalds may get away with this, but not real BBQ. Communication/ comprehension could be better too. I’m very disappointed because it’s so close to home. I have given it multiple chances but it’s just not working out anymore.
Grocery Store Texas style BBQ. Now HEB knows how to do prepared food well and this eatery is no exception. Friendly front staff and food tasted great. Especially like the side orders of coleslaw and beans. Skip the fruit cobbler since most of the dish is white bread. Would have given higher score but took 22 minutes to assemble a simple order.
Was hoping to try True Texas BBQ, but they said they don’t accept call ahead orders over the phone (like a normal to-go order), and she told me to use Favor for delivery. Such a bummer because I was getting my curbside groceries and was hoping to snag dinner easily. Really inconvenient.
Ordered a slice brisket sandwich and peach cobbler. The cobbler was absolutely delicious. But, the brisket sandwich was fatty and gristley. It was simply awful. After 2 bites, I threw the rest away. I don't recommend True Texas BBQ at HEB Midland, at all.
Need some emergency Q in the hood? It's more than just ok for grocery store bbq. Great sauces too. Feeling spicy? Feeling sweet? They've got both!
Delicious and cooked to perfection. So much flavor and texture. The location was very clean and the service was great.
