Entertainment was great but we ordered an appetizer and didn’t get it till are food starting cooking in front of us and the people next to us ordered at the same time we did but it came quickly for them. Ordered a draft beer and had to ask the waiter twice about it. Charged me $11 for an extra side of noodles because me and my boyfriend couldn’t share a plate. (I wouldn’t complain if it was a full plate but I only got a quarter size maybe that) I still left hungry because of the small amount I got.
We sat at our table for over thirty minutes waiting for service. I would not complain except for these reason's: the two waiters, one male, one female stood talking for this entire time. We did get drinks. My green tea was served with what must have been tap water. It was very like warm. My wife's iced tea had very little ice in it, even though she requested lots of ice. When the male water brought our silver ware, he literally, (not kidding) flung the silver ware on the table. I cannot recall when I have seen waiters so disrespectful. Finally we left the restaurant. This is not a matter of I won't be back, because we were traveling through. On the plus side, the place was extremity busy, so it must be a very popular local restaurant.
Our server Angela was one of the worst ever. our meal was subpar and bland as I had steak and shrimp with fried rice. you could tell that the fried rice was precooked also my steak was overdone and my shrimp was bland. Our appetizers half of it came out great and half of it came out burnt to a crisp. When we asked our server was that normal she stated yes of course.
This place is horrible! After working the oil field all day, I show up and ask for a table or hibachi seat for 1. The big girl at the from tells me she’ll go find a seat for me and walks off. About 9 mins later, the same girl seats two groups that came in behind me. Another hostess notices and asked about me and apparently she forgot about me being there despite sitting in front of the hostess podium. I take the high road and just offer to sit at the bar. The next issue, the are 7 people, including me, sitting at the bar and I have to flag her down to order a drink. I finish an entire order of Saki before she finally asks in I’d like to order dinner. I order dinner as well as another drink. The guy beside me tried to order another beer but she ignored him and walked off. Being in the same field, the guy said he had been there a while but she never asked if he wanted to order. By the time I finally receive my meal, I take a bit and the rice, veggies and steak are all room temp! The guy looks over and said that wasn’t worth $35, flagged down another server to ask for his check, and left. The bartender finally came over and asked what was wrong as I had been staring at her. I told her my stead was properly cooked (med rare) but all of my food was cold. She said she would call over the manager and I told her that was ok, I just wanted to eat and go back to my motel. The bartender called the manager over who same approached me. I made the comment that I had NOT asked to speak to her but she asked what was wrong with the food. So I told her about not being seated, the bartender ignoring me and the guy that was next to me, and the food was cold. She offered to re-cook it and stated it would only take 5 mins, despite it taking between 10-15 to initially get it (explained why it was cold). I told her no thanks, I was tired and just wanted to eat and leave. She offered to discount my mean at her expense and I accepted. The manager walked over and spoke to the bartender and walked off. About 2 mins later, the bartender walked over and tried to start an argument with me stating “the other guy is a regular that never orders”. I’m sorry hun, but he’s an oilfield worker like I am, and was in town for work from Alabama! I know because we talked about it! At this point I just wanted to pay and leave. After staring down the bartender and making it obvious I was done, she walks over and throws my bill on the bar and walks off. I look at it and it $60 with no discount applied! I pull out a $100 bill and when she walked over, told her the manager offered to do’s punt my meal. She gave me a diet look and called the manager back over. I showed her my bill and the manager then stars to argue with the bartender about why she didn’t discount the meal. I just wanted to leave so have the manager cash. It took 9 mins to get change back! The discount,,,,,,$6.00 off a $60 dinner that I didn’t even eat. I just got up and walked off and told the other hostess that she was the nicest person in the entire business. She was the only employee that actually cared about a customer. I feel like I paid $54 just to get some Sami, cold food, and treated like crap.
Great experience and great food!
Forgot to bring our salad. Slow service. Sushi was good, but tepanyaki grill was only decent. Overpriced for experience.
Tasty food, really fun decor, incredible chefs, with some of the filthiest food service workmanship I have ever seen. This is a clear case of passionate owners with awful front of house management. The servers, bartender and food runners were all hollow behind the eyes. I felt very unwelcome to begin with and everyone was just joyless while they touched their faces, phones and scratched themselves while handling food. I sat at the bar on a Wednesday evening and I was handed my fork (after my food arrived) while the bartender was holding cash. She held the cash in the same hand as my fork. Yuck. Then wiped down the bar with a rag and tossed the rag, before picking up a glass for a table order... by the rim. The manager watched her do all of this and didn't say a thing.Ownership, PLEASE train this staff.
They gave us the new waitress and the new chef. The food was average and the service was okay. I never complain, but this time I did and the manager made it right. I'll be back, but not right away.
This place was great! Super cool atmosphere and good staff! The food was really good and it came out super quickly! Definitely will be coming back!
For $9 you’d expect something better than 5 greasy pieces of calamari that taste like old fryer grease, or burnt pieces of fried zucchini. Skip the appetizers.
