Never again! Went in at 11:20 a.m for an early lunch. There was only one waitress taking care of the all the tables, seating people, and making tortillas (without gloves). She was very polite, and did her best. The menus we were given dirty, and so was the silverware. We waited almost thirty minutes for our food, and there were less than ten tables of people in the entire place. They didn’t have what I ordered so I chose something else. When we finally got our food it was terrible. We paid and left without eating but a few bites.
Ok we ate here they weren’t busy at all when we got in it took 20 minutes for them to get our drink order we ordered starters that took a long time to get to our table. and one came out extremely hard and over cooked and the other had items on the plate that were over cooked and hard. The manager was extremely nice and took them off our ticket the waiter hardly came to our table and when he did he had a busted pen that got ink all over our table and all over my 9 month old son. Their were also flies EVERYWHERE. Eventually we had them put our food, that after an hour and a half had not come to our table yet, in Togo containers and we left. It was a very unpleasant experience. We will not be returning to this on the border.
Sam, my server/bartender was absolutely fantastic. I didn't "want" for anything. She kept me with chips, salsa, and cold beer. I honestly couldn't have had a better server....and I'll humbly mention how gorgeous she is.I give the food a 4/5. It was good. Satisfied my hunger. But it could have been better. I enjoyed most everything except the semi-hard beans and rice.Honestly, I'll go back just for Sam. She can serve me 3 day old leftovers and I wouldn't care.
Me and my family have been coming to this location for a couple years now on a frequent basis....but... the last three times have been an absolute nightmare...the staff has become absolutely terrible, the food was good my last few visits until today.I ordered online a $65 TO-GO order and had my wife pick it up....once she got home EVERYTHING was wrong...(what we ordered) was 2 barria taco plates and a beef Chimichanga plate.(What we got) two fish taco plates and a bean burrito...Not that it matters to the careless staff...but I think we are gonna start taking our business elsewhere.
It was disappointing again. I had hoped that after the pandemic (that was the excuse I gave for their food) that it would go back to being my favorite place. Not so. The only thing that was still leaning towards good was the chile relleno. The cheese enchiladas had not cheese inside that was not melted and the sauce was tasteless. Now on the hunt for a new Mexican restaurant to call my favorite.
Let me just say this was there third strike. Family and I went there on Tuesday evening only because Abeolos had a 40 minute wait. So we thought we would give OTB another chance. One waitress in the middle section with two small families already there plus us. Fam of 4. Of course a bartender and a few patrons. It took a while for us to even be seated or acknowledged. We began to our waitress bringing food into the far section. I thought well maybe one of employees was fixing to eat. Nope a large Family was seated over there when there was plenty of seating in the middle. Food was coming out right and left for them while we were waiting to even catch her to let know we needed things. And finally our rice was half cooked, our beans were cold. There were people coming in and leaving because they were not acknowledged and not seated after standing there for minutes. Needless to say a female customer came walking in with her dog, to the bar side. This place needs new management or shut down.
Ordered for my wife and I, half the order was missing. The entrées we did receive were bland and had no flavor. Part of my wife's entrée was missing. Unfortunate because we had wanted to try somewhere new, and the experience was a disappointment.
Slow tone seated. The place has like 8 tables with people. Slow to get drinks. Still have not ordered food. Been 27 mins. I liked this place in the past but today is the worse service I have seen. It will be along time before I try here again.
Waited and waited and no one ever came. Went to get someone and still no one ever showed up. Everyone at this location is slow as hell. Do not waste your time. Food is not great either
Met a girlfriend for happy hour. Thursdays at OTB are $3 full size margaritas. Dee-lish and a bargain. We shared the Border Sampler, which was more than enough for 2 people. OTB may become our go to place for happy hour.
