Absolutely a disappointment. $100 for a family of 4 to eat a basic dinner. Brisket was super dry and Grey colored, chopped brisket tastes like the dry shredded beef jerky that comes in a can at the gas station. Baked potato was hard as a rock. $10 for a kids chicken strip that comes with 2 strips, order an adult $12 steak finger basket only get 3 tiny strips. Definitely the last time and will never recommend to anyone else. Only good thing was the salad bar, but not worth $14 though
It was mediocre at best, though we only had burgers. Whole half pound of mediocre burger, of similar quality to the mass produced franchise, although the vegetables were okay. Not what we expected for the price, more in line with the $4-5 range. Unfortunately paying ten dollars or more for a burger is a gamble anymore, and we didn't win with this one. Neat interior decor, kids behind the counter were nice enough, but the food is a bait and switch.
While I have always loved Michael’s Grill this was the 3rd bad experience we had in a row. I’ll only comment on my recent visit. The service from the man at the counter was great! He was friendly and informative. I ordered a half catfish plate which was $15. I was shocked when I got home and saw the portion size. I added the cracker for reference of the cat fish sticks and sides. One slice of bread was the same size as all the sticks together! This is a child’s portion but was on the regular menu. I bought this for my husband. If ordering catfish has gotten too expensive just take it off of the menu! Seriously, this establishment should be embarrassed serving this plate. Last, you guys had an employee standing outside when I went in. He was still there when I left and followed me around to the other side of the building. Not acceptable and really creepy!! I hope you get it together! This place use to be amazing!
This place has a lot of potential. Has the history in town. Great unique atmosphere. Food quality is decent and sometimes good depending on what you know to order (off the huge menu). But I went today, and it was at least the 3rd time in a row where the food quality was sub average/poor and the price you pay is WAY over what it should be. I ordered a chicken club sandwich and a regular size drink (no side, fries, or anything else) and it was $18.80 (!!!!!). Chicken was dry and flavorless. They really need to improve their prices and focus on improving food quality or I’ll most likely never go here again if I have another bad experience.
Fun atmosphere especially if you're a fan of aircraft (my dad was a helicopter pilot). I've been coming to Michael's since, oh, the days when they had a different location. Had a kid's birthday party in their private room -- it was wonderful fun. They have a sparkly-clean salad bar, and absolutely the best burgers I've had anywhere in the U.S. (and I've been to every state). Nowadays I'm gluten free and staying at home covid-free (may that continue) so I drop by and order a bunch of patties, no bun, no nuthin else, just take them home and dress them as I like. My son recently visited from Austin, shared the latest batch with me and said, "I'd forgotten how good they are." Thanks, Michael's, for years of great burgers.
Our mistake. Live and learn. Ads on the radio made this seem like a great place. It may be, but for a “Texas sized salad bar” (?) and the smoke turkey bologna, we were disappointed. No harm, we will use better judgement going forward.
A+ service, fast and easy! Cozy with great views of aircraft history. Food cooked to perfection. All in all highly recommended.
Great food. Friendly staff. And we even got to speak with Michael himself! Very nice guy. He definitely had some great stories about his history of the restaurant
Lunch of burgers and fries was not impressive. Burgers have a strange texture. Loud, like eating in a barn. Not a pleasant experience.
Very nice, clean and open restaurant with friendly service. They also have plenty of sanitizer dispensers around.Their 2lb burgers are huge- almost as large as the awesome model aircrafts that hang from the ceiling. :)
