Love the new location and the food is served hot and fresh. The shrimp is a great healthier choice for me. The lunch buffet is good but I am a bit Leary of group serving utensil using, still.
Disappointed this time. Waited a long time for water and chips/salsa.Could not order Fajita chicken soft tacos ~ server didn't know how.Decided on fajita chicken nachos instead. It was a pile of chips with chicken and shredded cheese. Super oily cheese made the chips not taste good.Server was not attentive to drink status. Finally able to pay when we stood to leave.Still a pleasant place with fun atmosphere.Tonight just wasn't the night for us.
My husband and I were out for date night tonight. The place was full but we decided to stay and I put my name on the list. The young hostess told me it would be 15 minutes for a table for two. We waited over 20 minutes and I informed her we were outside in the foyer she said we were next. I thanked her. I kept seeing other people seated thereafter more time passed. The couple that arrived after us was seated before us this was the last straw. I kindly went up and asked the hostess why were skipped and she went into defense mode, brushed me off and said it wasn't her. I tried explaining that I saw another gentleman just come over and ask table for two and they took the other couple before us. Again she disregarded my concern and told me to sit down and I would be called. I didn't yell, I wasn't rude or cursed and told her that they needed a better system because people were getting skipped. She said she didn't like how I was acting and refused to serve me. I asked for a manager. The hostess said she was the manager. The hostess said HER MOTHER OWNS THE RESTAURANT AND SHE CAN REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE! I was flabbergasted. If this is the treatment they give to patrons they won't last very long especially when they have incompetent little girls representing their business!!! Can't wait for CHUY'S to open up!!!
The best pork fajitas in town.Better hurry their taking them off the menu. So sad this is the only place in town that I know ov that serves themMission has the best tender ,tasty pork fajitas I will sorely miss them.
We normally go in there all the time how ever lately we been giving attitudes and we tips well however last time it took the cake on April 1st our server and apparently manager Joey Charged us for refills which had never happened before and I felt utterly disappointed with this because we went in the Monday before Friday and wasn’t charged for refills he charged us way to much for refills won’t go here again at first it was amazing when we kept getting Margarita as our server but now it’s just horrible especially when. They charge 30$ for drinks and he also charged us for a water but made it a Diet Coke no one at the table ordered a Diet Coke what happened to this wonderful place? Btw there was only 3 of us and every-time we come in us three we are only charged for 3 drinks
This places was packed on a Thursday night so I thought it would be a good place to wait in line for an hour to eat.I was excited to see fresh salsa and homemade chips(or not typical bagged) chips hit the table. Taste was great, fresh. Shrimp cocktail followed and do not disappoint. It was fresh crisp and has lot of shrimp. The let down was the Enchiladas with green sauce, rice , beans and taco plate. The ground meat inside taco and enchiladas was so overly salted it was inedible. The green sauce was below average, beans were ok and the rice was bland.I will revisit and try something if a chicken beef or seafood dish and probably have better luck. The potential is good here which shows promise and maybe just a bad day with the salt shaker in the meat.Overall, worth the money but maybe not the wait.
First time here and probably the last. Food was just not good. My husband had rib eye with enchiladas and the steak was soso but the enchiladas were cold, I had pork chops and they tasted as if they were fried in old grease. Hard to get refills, I understand the place was hopping but better service and food is expected especially with today's prices.
I like La Mission. The restaurant is decorated with bright colors and a Mexican theme. They moved recently over close to Sam's warehouse. They said they would reopen the old location but it has not happened. I like the food here. The queso is one of those mix things not real cheese.
Love this place let me tell you a quick funny story so me and my cousin always stop here after work well it's been about a year n half since we went to Odessa anyway we get done we go to lamission and it was closed we cried then we left so then finally we came back and I was like that place got to be open man that place can't be closed down we go it's not open we turn around in the parking lot we see the sign we moved my cousin gets the address is all happy we go and the food was exactly the same I'm an enchilada with the green sauce he's enchilada with the red sauce and let me tell you what I've had the fajitas there everything is the bomb the sweet tea is awesome and the people there are awesome there is just a great place to go eat it's well worth it
First off the owner is not rude. In fact just the opposite. I have been eating at LaMission since the90;s. We know the owner and she is a wonderful person, including her daughter that helps with the restaurant. They have been so successful because of consistency and friendlness that they have a new location off the loop. Larger, but with the same wonderful menu. The salsa is so so so good. I also find the Carne Asada to be the best in town.
