Been going here for many years. Always good food and atmosphere. Just Attended a friend's retirement party in the upstairs bar/lounge. My favorite dish is the Chile Rellenos, they are very unique..top it off with a 'rita??
I love the food here, my favorite is the pineapple chicken salad on a hot day and the ruedas when I want something warm, of course they also have a really good chicken fried steak and I could go on and on. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they allow smoking upstairs and sometimes you can smell it when your sitting downstairs due to the big opening between the two floors above the fountain. If you sit in the patio area you don't smell it all but if there aren't a lot of customers out there then it tends to feel like they have forgotten about you and don't come around as often. The only other down side is that they charge a 3.5% fee if you use a credit/debit card to pay and I don't always have enough cash with me to pay without using a card.
Haven’t eaten here in many many many years.. To start the salsa was VERY salty….. I ordered the cheese enchiladas! The corn tortillas were so hard on the bottom I could barely cut them, every bite of rice there was rice that wasn’t cooked. The sweet tea was good but we won’t be back unfortunately!
Always love La Bodega. We have been going here since I was a kid. Always a fun and chill atmosphere. Good food and drinks. Upstairs is a bar where you can order food. You can still smoke inside if that bothers you the downstairs is a traditional restaurant with no smoking.
Helped with a cousin's birthday party in the private room. Service was a bit confusing and they took a while to bring out the food which was cold and just down right nasty. And to think they charge $600 for that food is simply outrageous. I would never use this room ever again and pay that ridiculous price.
Great bar upstairs with super knowledgeable bartender. Met a friend for a drink and it was the perfect spot! Salsa is delicious. Will have to dine here sometime.
This place has mostly good food. They changed the queso a few years ago. It use to be very good but now it is not. I don't get the queso here anymore because it is not good anymore. It is a shame because people use to go because they liked the queso so much. The service is good. They have clean restrooms. They do allow smoking in the bar. It does drift down the open ceiling and is offensive to non smokers. My husband will not go for that reason. But I do still go and enjoy.
My last visit was 2005! This was a great day to visit after church on Sunday. As a child, teen and young woman this was such a great time with family and friends from Kelview Heights. It was like walking into a time capsule. The rice has always been a favorite of mine! I enjoyed my friend, my waitress was precious and the atmosphere never disappoints. A Family caring for Midland families! Service with a smile! I highly recommend and will be back soon. Thanks so much!
Called ahead for a volleyball team of 27 people for lunch. They not only accommodated us but the food and service was superb! Highly recommend. KCV volleyball club 14 Black
