This is probably gonna be me new go to burger place. The food was great and the whole vibe was very enjoyable. The shareable portions are amazing and an interesting thing is they have caffeinated ketchup.I will need to try their shakes next time I visit which will hopefully be soon!

I love Hopdoddys in Austin. This one must still be learning. It’s new, I know. I ate my burger and fries. Both were okay but not stellar. I’ll try it again after a few weeks.

We just left Hopdoddy and sat at the bar. My husband had two drinks and I had a water. We waited an hour for chicken strips, fries and a salad that never came so we paid for our drinks and left. We waited that long because we are sensitive to staff shortages. I asked the bartender why we never got our food and he said the order was on the screen but never printed so they never saw it. Sounds like processes need updating. The bar tender was amazing and he was working his tail off. He was great but we will not be back for a very long time. We went once before right after it became Hopdoddy and had a very long wait for food with a very green staff. It’s not worth sitting through the disorganization to go home hungry.

I went there hopping to eat the Macaroni and cheese burger, but they don't have it anymore. So I ordered a simple cheeseburger and a drink. Came out to being $16.45 and I was not happy. The burger was ok size, tasted good, but I left still hungry. The burger while good, was not worth the price. The burger was roughly $9.75, which means the drink would be between $4-5. Too much and no combo with fries. Chances are I won't be returning

OK the debate is done. Sorry but Grub is 10 times better. I had the flavored fries was not impressed. The seasoning was good but it seemed as if they left fries under the lamp for to long then tossed them in the seasoning. I shall call them "Stale Ranch fries". I ordered the mushroom burger. There was alot of goat cheese. Didn't taste the mushrooms nor the meat. Meat was really watery, (not savory, "watery") really under cooked. Not very flavorful considering it was goat cheese and mushrooms. I wasn't impressed by the gormet vibe. I was charged seperate for the burger...drink.... Oh and fries also charge seperately. Not many choices either. Staff was great. I don't believe my visit or the food was worth the cost. Family and I agreed a return visit in the future is not probable. Hopdoddy is off our restuarant list.

Grub Burger was one of my favorite burgers. We could get us all food for under $30 and it was good. The Hopdoddy buyout/change in the local paper made it seem like there would be some similarities and I had hoped the menu would at least be some of it, but that's not the case. Hopdoddy, while pretty good I will admit, isn't as good as Grub Burger was and is vastly more expensive. I will probably go back at some point, but nowhere near as often. Disappointed. Also, they changed a little bit how they do things. The cashier kind of came off like we should already know how things work now. Management should have made it a point for weeks and weeks to have employees ask questions and explain some of the newer tidbits. Like you choose your seat while ordering (dumb) and fries orders are "group" size. Maybe that's why I paid waaaaaaasy more. $56 vs $28

Update:Tried it again and service and the food were tremendously better. Great improvement. Keep it upMy family and I were very disappointed. Starting off the line was all the way to the door and they only had one person taking orders. So it took quite awhile to even order. Once we ordered we went to get drinks. Most of the drinks were out and the ice was on the counter in a tray and a cup for people to scoop out of. In my opinion this is very unsanitary.Once seated we waited 40-50 minutes to receive our food. Once received 3 of the 5 orders were wrong. Buns were dry and very crispy. All the fries were way over cooked and rock hard.Overall we may come back in a few month once it’s established more and give it a second chance.

We had lunch here when we heard of the new owners. The choices are great, a variety of different fries, more variety in burgers too. We got the classic burger with cheddar and it was very good. We order the truffle fries with parmesan, delicious and it's nice that they bring them out before your burger. Can't wait to go back!

I had been wanting to eat here for awhile and finally had the opportunity. When you walk in, you quickly realize this place is a little different. They have menus on the wall along the entry way, you place your order before sitting down which makes the whole experience much simpler. No waiting for a check after you finish. The food was great. The burger was nicely prepared and tasted amazing. The fries were hot, nicely salted, and seemed to disappear much too quickly. All in all, great food, pleasant staff and a comfortable environment. I will 100% be going back. One small issue with the time there, for whatever reason, the air conditioning was off the afternoon we stopped to eat. Normally not a huge deal but it was 98 degrees outside and a little stuffy inside. If this was due to mechanical issues or management choice, I don't know. Other than that, our visit couldn't have gone any better.

Very slow staff. Management was unaware and not in control. Undercooked. Cannot punctually cook other meat as advertised on menu. Overcooked fries and under seasoned. They were beyond crispy. Each employee was working at their own pace and not the pace of the manager and the orders, not only in the kitchen. Wait staff was not accommodating guests dining-in and to-go orders; 3rd party and personal. The sweet tea was watered down and the beverage dispensing machine’s flavors were flat. Too over priced for this poor quality and service. More managers and training aides are desperately needed.
