Let me tell you about this place! We went in with a party of 22. They were very transparent they are short staffed like the rest of America is at this point in 2022. Mason was our server for ALL of us and he was absolutely amazing. He was on top of our drinks, appetizers, and entrees. He never let a glass go dry and made sure all the food was prepared perfectly, even the ones with special requests. Mason is a gem in the service industry and they are lucky to have him. Now the food: the Brussels and calamari appetizer may be some of the best I have ever had. The snook fish entree was cooked to perfection and the vegetables that came with it were the perfect amount of crisp and flavor blends. Others in our party bragged about the rib-eye, filet, veal and salmon. Not one entree was over cooked and all came out beautifully. If you are in Midland, this is a must try! Service and food were 10/10
My wife and I joined friends for dinner at Garlic Press last weekend. We had always looked forward to dinners there, often for special occasions. We were greeted and seated promptly as we had a reservation. Wine and bread provided a perfect start to our meal. The waitress did not rush us to order. The breakdowns came in the time it took to receive our dinners, the waitress did not check after delivering our meals, and my wife's crusted flounder could not be eaten. Our friends ordered the pork chop which they described as acceptable. My duck breast was delicious. The big problem was that my wife's crusted flounder was cold and mushy. As I mentioned above, the waitress should have returned after delivering our meals, but she did not. I appreciate that the flounder and dessert were removed from the bill. I choose to believe that this event was an anomaly. We will return to give Garlic Press another chance.
Hands down the best restaurant in Midland/Odessa. I called several places in Midland/Odessa to see if they offered any gluten free options for my friend. I called Garlic Press and out of all the owner got on the phone and went over a couple options. He took my email and quickly emailed me some options that were available. This has always been my favorite restaurant in the area. Always great customer service and amazing food.
Best steaks in West Texas. Always a great meal when eating here.

Everything was delicious. Best minestrone soup on earth. Great artichoke soup. Amazing duckfair veal plate, A+ calamari appetizer, fried green tomatoes were over the top, crispy shrimp appetizer was one of the most delicious things I have ever had! Expensive but Worth it.
I don't eat here often but the last time I was here I thought they probably had the best wait staff in town. Not the case tonight. Our guy seem flustered all night. Took an embarrassingly long amount of time to find his corkscrew and get one bottle of wine open and served. We had three appetizers and the shrimp was good. Meatballs were bland and the cheese plate was mostly fruit. I had the pork chop which was over cooked. One had a ribeye and was disappointed. My wife had a fish dish called triple something. The waiter could not describe the dish beyond what was on the menu but she did like it. Another had a pasta dish and was satisfied. Overall not what I expected from what is considered to be a fine dining establishment.
We sat on the very charming back patio. Loved the trees and lights. I love how they start your meal with fresh roasted garlic and bread. Our meals were delicious. I hadn’t had good Italian food in awhile and this place really hit the spot.
Our reservation was at 7 o’clock. The dinner served to us around 9 o’clock was not worth the wait. We were a party of 7 adults only two were satisfied with their meal. Two of us ordered the veal. The sauce was so sour we could not eat it. One was sent back and replaced with another item. We were charged full price for the veal. The bill was over $400.00 with included 2 glasses of wine. If you enjoy a two hour wait and bad overpriced food I highly recommend this place.
