Great food and friendly staff

This place is way to over priced for Mexican food. There was absolutely nothing special about the taco salad, matter of fact Taco Villa has a much better one in my opinion. The wait was long to be seated. I'm guessing one goes here to Hurry up and Wait to spend $$ on beans and rice. The staff on the other hand and besides the cook is amazing. I like my food hot not like warm. We Won't Be Going Back. You want good Mexican food eat at the hole in the walls trust me on this.

Great food, great service, The Best!

Thank you Fianna for being an awesome server! You took care if everything I asked. This is truly appreciated! I will definitely be back! I highly recommend the Reynosa Salad!

Hostess checks you in you sit down they bring your chips, dip & drinks, then order from the menu served in big plates. The Alaskan salmon served with two fillets. delicious!

Passing thru town on business and it's on a Friday during Lent so I'm forgoing the opportunity for delicious steak for a fish dinner. I saw Abuelo's on the way to the hotel and checked the menu for it's seafood selection and knew this was the place to go. It was absolutely packed for the dinner hour and I heard wait times were >45 min from the hostess but the large crowd waiting did'nt seem to mind. Being a solo diner scored me a seat at the bar! I knew right away I'd made a great choice as a large bowl of chips and four types of salsa were placed in front of me and THEN I was asked what to drink. Spied Dos Equis Amber XX on tap and automatically placed this restaurant as my #ONE in Midland as none of the other five places I've dined have the Amber XX in bottles much less on tap. Bless you for this Abuelos! Oh yeah dinner...Ordered the Tilapia Mojo de Ajo and enjoyed the sauteed fish with lime rice and vegetables while watching college baseball on the wide-screens at the bar. Highly recommend this place for the beer er, food, yeah that's it!

Chips and salsas were amazing, as was my drink! El Jefe! Veggie Quesadilla was a disgusting joke, unfortunately. Just steamed veggies inside two soggy tortillas. No effort whatsoever. Here's a pic of a good veggie quesadilla from St. Louis Taco and Pita, and what I got.

AAAAMMAAZZIINNNGGG! The burrito was big enough for three! The guac was the best I have ever had! Do yourself a favor and get the large

very nice place good service and good food

I had The Grande (pictured forefront) while my girlfriend ordered two enchiladas (chicken and beef). The portions were of a really good size and the food was excellent. The only reason I gave a 4 instead of a 5 was due to one of the items on The Grande. While fried on the outside, the inside was of a slimy texture and I'm big on texture. Our server, Leah, was very pleasant and did a wonderful job.
