I hate to put a 1 star because the staff working there were trying to do what they could with what they had. Problem is the franchise owner that doesn't equip them.1 cook frying 2 eggs, 3 bacon strips and hash browns at a time.Party of four. 20 minutes later he gave me "an" order that was for another table. A family with 5 soccer playing kids came in so I told them better find another place. They left and so did we. Went next door to Sonic.Waffle House is awesome but this one needs major help.
So they are so short staffed that the entire place has not been cleaned so no one can sit down. They said they have no clean silverware or dishes. The whole cooking station is horrid. I saw one of the employees eating bacon while cooking. I saw the same employee put bacon from the same plate he ate off that was sitting there for who knows how long put some of it on the customers plate. I feel bad but management should know don't open if you have no workers. The employees are still in happy spirits though. The food is good hence the three stars.
I've always loved waffle house but after stopping here on Cartwright I will Never return. All the staff was behind the counter talking n laughing and waiting for customers, it was empty. I sat at the counter but was told they're not seating I have to use a booth. I said I don't fit, can I sit at the shorter bar? Sir please use our booth we aren't seating you at the bar. I was leaving and she said you have a blessed day sir. I said I'm posting my first review ever and she smiled and said feel free. So I'm done with this ghetto store for good.
When we walked in, there were 2 couples waiting but they had 3 dirty tables so we got in the line after 10 minutes they got mad and left and we were the only ones waiting, we waited for 20 minutes and then I asked the server nicely if they were going to clean a table for us, she answered very rude like she was ready to fight THERE IS ONLY 2 SERVERS YOU NEED TO WAIT A FEW MORE MINUTES we also left after that.April 13 10 am
need more staff and to keep the tables and cooking area clean. also don't eat while cooking especially if it's from a plate of bacon that you go and serve to someone that's been sitting there who knows how long
Employees are arguing all the time while we were eating. Had to ask 5 times for items. Food was prepared wrong and display on plate not appealing. We used to love this location. Not. Good experience. Horrible. Plus dirty on tables and floor. Nasty.
The cook was outside smoking with a full restaraut then came in and just started cooking besides the pandemic hand washing is number 1 in thus industry. The server was clearly on the first night of her first job ever and had no trainer besides the nasty cook. Patrons were wiping there own tables. We never got drink refills this was my last chance for this location
Worst Waffle House I’ve ever been to! Seriously don’t come here. I got there and it seemed ok like any other Waffle House. The waiter was ok at first she took out orders on what we wanted to eat, but then she took out orders on what we wanted to eat and we asked for a medium cooked steak we all ordered the same except for my little sister she just ordered a waffle. After like 15 minutes the waiter comes with the waffle and finally brings the eating utensils and LITERALLY PUTS THEM PLAINLY ON THE TABLE. And she forgot to bring one set of utensils. Me and my family didn’t want to say anything so we let her but as soon as she walked away we got the utensils and wiped them with a napkin and put them on top of the napkins. Meanwhile we noticed there was 8 workers at the moment 4 of them were cooking the other 4 were standing behind all of them just looking at them or on their phone. After around 30-40 minutes of wait the waiter brings 2 stakes well cooked and very dry we told her we had ordered 3 she told us the rest of the plates were on their way and she comes with 2 plates with the eggs and harsh browns so my dad told her we were missing a plate with the 3rd order and asked her that if she had taken the order she said yea it was on its way and then she turns around as she’s about to walk she turns back towards us again and asks what my mom had ordered we told her it was the same thing and she leaves. 10 minutes later she comes back with the eggs and harsh brown and she says that she was still waiting on the meat and that she’ll bring it. She brought it soon after. A couple minutes later we were the only ones there and 3 girls take their lunch break and they are having a LOUD conversation they were so loud in there me and my family all felt uncomfortable.they finished eating and went back to doing nothing.Just don’t go there the costumer service is bad the food is bad everything is bad there was nothing good
At this point they should just shut the location down.. They stopped answering phones, I'm sure the pandemic is an excuse as if you go, someone is definitely available to assist on phones.. Sorry is not even the word - Short of staff is no excuse yet every time you go, they're complaining & threatening to walk out... Gots to do better..
I wish that I could give this ghetto place a negative star rating. My order was not only worn but also looked like dog food. When I returned it the waitress then proceeded me to ask me what was wrong she then proceeded to tell me that it was not wrong and said it just had extra ingredients and egg yolks instead of egg whites. News flash if it is any different than what I asked for it’s wrong. She then rolled her eyes and said no problem and began talking to another waitress saying It’s not wrong it’s just extra stuff so remake it and so t forget the chili cause she made a deal about the chili not being on there. She then proceeded to mock me to other staff members and remade my order and it was still incorrect. Upon sitting down I noticed that the restaurant was filthy. There were mildew towels and leaks over the floor the low bar tables were dirty. The floor needed to be mopped and there were flies. No one had on gloves or masks. Order tossed. Waste of my lunch break. This location has soured me on the entire chain. Think I will be sending my pictures to the health department.
