The waitress was very slow and acted like we were in her way. Food was gas station quality. Beans were out of a can. Sausage had no pork in it. The soups are decent. They definitely need to steep it up. The client's are there please step it up or sell to someone who will put all their heart into it. The lady from Pepper's cafe needs to go she's the reason I quit going there.
This was a charming Texas diner. The prices were great. Less than $10 per person. The food was quite tasty, and the waiter was very attentive. They have high chairs for the toddler.
Southern comfort with a twist of authentic Mexican food. Great options and breakfast is all day. They have aguas frescas which is freshly made drinks. I wish they would expand their location. But that’s why they are so good. Highly recommend!!
The food we ate breakfast there was great for the price. Our waitstaff was outstanding. I would pay extra for a better bread. Just fyi. We will go back.
Always greeted by friendly staff, very attentive. Nice environment which helps enjoy the tasty food. Good price, good food, good staff....I agree with the reviewer, 12 ☆5 is not enough
Food and service here have been great. Portions are good and you won't leave hungry. Can't beat their 4.99 breakfast specials. Their chips and salsa are fresh made .

If you don't like your food they will not allow you to return it. My friend ordered a shrimp cocktail and felt it was warm so he wanted to return it he hadn't eaten any of it besides trying it, but the lady said "it's just served that way, that's how it was made", then she said she would call the restraunt manager and the manager apparently said "that he probably just decided he didn't want to eat it anymore". So even, if you don't like it or didn't even eat it and want to ask for your money back you can't because they don't want to do it. I also forgot to mention that we waited for a long time for the waitress to pick up the money so we could leave but she took too long that I just walked up and set the card down at the register while she was on the phone because we didn't want to be there anymore. We were respectful as possible but the service was bad. My friend even felt bad and he still wanted to tip even when the service was just unreasonable.
This place offers a good menu for breakfast, but not for lunch or dinner and on Mexican food they doesn't have idea about good food,I did order 3 times different food and it is ugly experience, you don't enjoy the miserable food from here,also check your receipts cause they tip them selves,,,is enough,,,, no more waste of money at this place,,,today I did order 3 TORTAS CUBANAS to go,DISGUSTING, BIG BREAD WITH BEANS AND A PIECE OF HAM,LOOKS LIKE THEY USE A SINGLE PIECE OF BREADED BISTEK FOR ALL 3, AND LOTS,I MEAN LOTS OF LETUCE TO HIDE THE MISSING FOOD,ONE TOMATO,,NO MAYO,NO AVOCADO,NO SAUSAGE,LOTS ONION,THIS TORTA IS SUPPOSED TO BE ONE OF THE BEST ON THE MENU,BUT NOT HERE,THE SALVADORIAN LADY IN THE BACK (KITCHEN) IS ALWAYS IN THE PHONE,SHE NEEDS A BLUETOOTH MAYBE SO SHE AN FOCUS,,SO WHEN I CALL. TO COMPLAIN THE SERVER WHO ALSO HAVE A DISGUSTING DIRTY LONG NAILS,OFFERS ME TO GO BACK TO THE RESTAURANT AND GET THE MISSING INGREDIENTS, SO RIDICULOUS !!!!!, SALVADORIANS DON'T MAKE GOOD MEXICAN FOOD,all I can say is that I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL AFTER 11AM.
The Country Diner Cafe is nothing to look at as it was probably last renovated during the Carter administration! Thankfully, the food makes up for any lack of ambiance, Lots of great choices with a Mexican flair. Also, you cannot beat the prices!
