This was my first time to visit; I was not impressed. It took a solid 7 minutes before anyone noticed we were standing there. We were seated and then waited another several minutes to get a drink order. The server came back with hush puppies but told us they ran out of butter.We decided to order catfish since that's why we came; the sign out front showed 3 big catfish pieces and fries and hush puppies for $6. Well, not true. It's a box deal and only available for takeout. So for 10 bucks I could get one piece of catfish and fries. They were out of beans and rice, green beans, and salad, and a few other items so we had no other choices. The " salad bar" was awful. No salad, the options were pickles, peaches, potato salad and coleslaw ( both of which tasted badly). The meal came, it was definitely not worth the money and the experience was disappointing to say the least.
Wow for their Fried Catfish!I moved over here to this area 5 years ago and been wanting to go to stop at Catfish Cove. Not to say I fell in love with the old school music they had live band .Yes today Friday it is so wonderful in there.I did a pick up order next time I am coming and enjoy the music and the most wonderful food in Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.Deliciousness........
My friends have been saying good things about the food so we drove an hour to the restaurant. It was a nice ample parking spaces and inside was a very relaxing atmosphere. Best catfish fillet ever! Come with an appetite and with the sides available it's more than enough. The service was Amazing, polite and very nice. I recommend to others who want some good catfish. GREAT FOOD*****
Ok, this place has been remodeled, new management, new menu, even their food has change. Some changes for the good. We loved going when they had all you can eat seafood ( catfish, shrimp). Not any more! Now they sell by piece, more expensive! I understand everyone has to raise their prices, but for price they charge now. We paid $38.00 for two persons I can purchase the food make it ourselves and have leftovers for lunch next day. We the atmosphere is nice. The day we went they only had 1 waitress. I think it was senior citizen day. We had a hard time getting the attention of the waitress. Their food was fresh but not enough for the price they charge. My husband said "They change how they do their food. Different cook or recipe?" Not the same. One thing that did surprise us was,That they get us a glove each to serve ourselves to the relish bar. I am not sure if any other all you can eat buffets offer gloves.
Not the same! Almost double advertised price for cold family pack limp fries, what tastes like canned relish items. Website still not updated. Please save Catfish Cove!
I always wanted to try this place so I decided to stop by today. I must say, the fish was fresh and had flavor. Great price to stop by for some great fish
Just happend to be passing by and thought we would try something new. We ordered the Catfish. The taste was good but the fish was very small pieces and mostly breading. The condiment bar needs to be checked on more often for restock and cleaning surfaces. The man that served us was very nice and gave us good service. Wish it would have been better food. Won't be going back.
In my opinion, food is hit and miss, this time it was a huge miss. Spent over $40.00 for bad food. Oysters were rubbery hush puppies were hard over cooked or under heat lamp to long. Salad bar didn't taste fresh. Catfish was ok nothing to write home about. I have been a customer for over 20 yrs but I can't keep wasting my money for food that I can't eat. Maybe it was the time that I went late lunch ?

I went out with my dad for lunch and the food was very good! The hushpuppies they gave us were incredible, and the gumbo had incredible flavor! The service was really good too and our waiter was friendly and we got seated the moment we walked in. I saw other reviews saying the catfish had no flavor, which is entirely wrong. I strongly recommend it! All around a pleasant experience.
