Great food, long lines in drive through and somewhat slow service. Wish I could rate 4.5 simply due to speed of service. They redeemed my son's spring reading coupon without issue for a junior burger. We also ordered the bacon burger, which was excellent but did not have much bacon on it. The restaurant was clean and the staff was polite.
This place is not managed well at all. We ordered food, waited over 30 minutes, and when we asked where our food was, they claimed that they "lost it" when in reality, they just didn't make the food. So that meant we had to wait another 15 minutes just to be able to eat. On top of that, there's a girl with red hair that works here that literally wouldn't stop talking the entire time we were waiting. She was off work, trying to talk to everyone every chance she got, I understand if you're talkative... But come on, no one needs to talk to complete strangers for 45 minutes non-stop. I will not be coming back to this whataburger, probably the worst one I've been too
I get the food quality has gone down, but this restaurant exceeds any of the other bad experiences. After many bad visits over the past 2 years, I swore off this location of Whataburger. Today, I gave them another go.I ordered a number one with cheese. My burger was gross.it was soggy wet and creamed with layers and layers of mustard. I eat mustard, but this was excessive. I threw it in the trash. Yuck! I’m grossed out that I ate any at all. My fries tasted funky - I can’t tell you why, just maybe the grease was really old.They have the staff and the supplies to make something decent, but choose not to.
I have had it with this Whataburger at El Dorado & Ridge. Ordered using the app, selected curbside delivery, then wait 20 minutes after checking in to get order. Order would not have come out had I not called. What's the point?This is not the first time at this location either, but it is the last time. Last few times using drive through have not been much better.
We love Whataburger but this location never seems to get an order right or move at a reasonable pace. 25m wait and not that busy and still got order wrong. Even asked my son to go after a customer to get an order back because he took the wrong one. He said he would not and they just let it go so whoever had that order missed out and the gentleman got the wrong order as well.
If I could have given this restaurant a zero stars rating I would have. Literally sat in the drive through without moving for over 15 minutes, hemmed in and unable to escape. This is not the first time, but it will be my last. When I finally got to order, then move to the window to get my order, I sat for another almost 10 minutes. I watched the employees milling around inattentively, ineffectively, inefficiently for those 10 minutes. They were more interested in filling their own soda cups and drinking it rather than waiting on customers. And after all that, I get an incorrect order. Unbelievably poor customer service. Hey...Whataburger on Eldorado in McKinney...while you're drinking all your free soda, just watch Chic-fil-a workers next door. They work circles around you guys and get my order right every single time. Done with you.
I’ve been going to this location after softball games for years! Slowly watched the service and cleanliness of the restaurant decline. Waited so long at the counter that I physically walked into the kitchen for assistance. The lobby and dining area looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in days. My daughter and I sat and watched 25 cars go through the drive thru while we waited for or food and ice from the drive thru machine because the machine in the lobby was empty. All this took place at 7:30pm.
Ordered online and went inside when the app indicated that my order was ready. Inside there were already people waiting for their orders but there was no one at the front. I had to wait more than 30 minutes before my order was ready. The same happened with everyone else who was waiting for their food inside. It would have been faster to go through the long drive through line than to order online. After the long wait the food was sub par.
Horrible experience. Was stuck in the drive thru for over 30 minutes before we could even order. Once we finally ordered and was able to get our food the order was incorrect. Just never going back. I could understand anyone having a bad day and getting a order incorrect, however this was this locations second chance and they failed to retain my business.
I have been to Whataburgers all over Texas, and normally I'm a fan. This rating is not based on one trip, but several. If you like to stand in an empty lobby with other people waiting to order for 10 minutes before someone comes from the back to take orders, and if you like to wait an unusually long time for food that is served cold, this just might be your kind of place.
