Loved the atmosphere! Canopy of trees, different levels of seatings and better yet, dog friendly.We liked to sit at the top level. Eating, drinking and people watching on a nice weather day. One wouldn't realize you're actually in the middle of Historic Downtown McKinney surrounded by buildings.Food was always good, liked their drinks as well.Service never disappoints.Highly recommend.
We sat outside when it was quite hot, but the whole yard is shaded with fans and misters. It made it really nice to hang out there. I brought my small dog and it was a pet friendly smart place. We had the queso and the Baja tacos. Both were fantastic. The service was very good as well. Highly recommend.
So hot THEY HAVE SPRINKLER FAN but if the wind is blowing its not cooling. But always been a favorite spot and now the Yard made some changes all for the better. Tistado yummy. Pricey!! Fun to meet friends!!
Great patio but food wasn’t great. I had chicken strips and they were cold and over battered. Husband got blackened mahi mahi tacos. The mahi-mahi wasn’t blackened and extremely dry. (Awful). The beer was warm and basically not a very fun dinner experience
The food is excellent! The nacho starters are my favorite. It is enough to round a big group of people. They have the perfect outdoor seating with music that is relaxing although the place may be full. A great place for families, young people or even business meetings
HORRIBLY MANAGED!!! We checked in and gave our phone number. We were told it wold be 45 minutes. After an hour’s wait, we were told it would be another 45 minutes because they were seating people who came in after us before we were seated!!!!! AND we weren’t the only customers who were being treated with the same service. I guess you have to bribe the hostess to be treated like you deserve to be seated. Will NOT be going back.
When I arrived the hostess told me that the wait was an hour.. mind you there were tables available inside & outside.. we waited an hour to be seated at a table that was available when we first arrived….My husband & I both got the south west ceaser salad with salmon. We both specifically asked for the salmon to not be over cooked & that’s exactly how it came out. Overcooked. The waiter was super nice & got my husband & I another plate of salmon. The salmon was okay.. The salad was okay.. toppings were minimal.. We also got the wings & they were alright.. My husband bought a frozay & it wasn’t giving what it should’ve.
Great restaurant with a huge outdoor patio. It reminds me of Katy Trail Ice House, really beautiful patio for drinks and meetups with large group of friends. Food here is mediocre, which is disappointing. The oil used to fried the chicken was not fresh and left an odd taste for the chicken. Burger had two thin Pattie’s, and both were cooked well done. I supposed if you drink a lot, you won’t remember the bad food.
We had a party of 7 so it took 90 minutes to get a table. The service was okay but I asked for steak nachos. I received pork and still got charged $4 extra. The food was mediocre at best. Nothing really blew me away. We had 3 kids and they sat us at a high table top. One of our kids fell out of the chair but luckily he wasn't hurt. The restaurant was pet friendly and had some cool rustic decor.
We had a group of 7 adults and 2 kids on a Sunday evening. The service was great and the food wonderful as well. We all tried something different and all agreed it was delicious. My niece and nephew had plenty of space to play in the rocks, we weren't cramped for space at all. I loved the casual back yard atmosphere. I would definitely return!
