As someone who grew up on an island in Louisiana eating Cajun & seafood, I can tell you their gumbo, boudin balls, and Shrimp po-boy we're all awesome! The shrimp looked weird (like fish sticks) because they straightened them out, but they were real shrimp, and it was awesome! The boiled seafood has tons of different options for your favorite flavors and the spice level you are comfortable with. We'll be back!!
Food is great. Service is awesome!
This place is AWESOME! ? I've had LOTS of seafood before and this was some of the best! ?? Mouth watering Snow Crab steamed so perfectly it almost falls out of the shell! ? Steamed shrimp was pre-split to clean out the grit and make them super easy to peel. ? Steamed corn was delicious, as were the sausage pieces and red potatoes. ?? The Crab House Cajun seasoning with medium heat level was perfect as well. They also serve a Seafood Garlic Bread (like Texas Toast but with a spread of butter, cheese, shredded crab, and mayo baked onto it), right after you sit down, that blows Red Lobster biscuits out of the water. Drinks were great; they have tons of specialty cocktails and a really nice bar, stocked with all the usual good stuff. ???Their prep is on point too. Before the food arrived (which was remarkably only about 10 minutes), they bring you a bib, all the standard seafood tools AND PLASTIC GLOVES! ? The gloves let you really get through the extractions really quickly while not soaking Cajun butter into your hands. The tables are also covered with a nice, thick butcher paper, so you can be as messy as needed without any guilt. They also have a hand washing area, outside the restrooms, which makes it really quick and easy to get cleaned up afterwards.Claire took EXCELLENT care of us and we'll be requesting her again when we return. We honestly thought we were taking a chance on this place, based on some of the other reviews, but many of them seem really frivolous and petty. ?♂️ Highly recommend Storming Crab to get your seafood fix with delicious grub and terrific service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

best service, great food very nice atmosphere, fast service!
Decent seafood in the McKinney area. I enjoyed the food but didn't really enjoy the Cajun flavoring in the boil. If I go back, I'll just do the natural boil and then dip it as I please in old bay or butter. The place wasn't busy for a Tuesday afternoon but they've been open a while so it must be doing okay. The place is a bit pricey of course and the seafood bread is delicious. I didn't try the drinks at all but they mostly looked like sugar bombs. Thanks for the food!
Great food and even better service! The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get, but honestly it's the service. Everyone is so helpful and great. The bartender is knowledgeable and the waitstaff go out of their way to help. I had the crab boil, which was so delicious. My husband had the fresh oysters and Etouffee, both of which were delicious and generous portions. We will definitely be returning and bringing friends!
1st time here and it does not disappoint. Had the Cajun Dungeness Crab.I enjoyed the flavor and freshness and the seafood apron and glove experience. The seafood bread is a must order.2nd visit I will try to order happy family combo⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️????
Update: went again the other day. Food still awesome… but service was horrible (she completely messed up the order and never refilled drinks) and the wait was 45 minutes with tons of open tables? Need more seating while waiting. Still Five stars as food is outstanding.First review: Atmosphere is awesome! Comfortable and laid back. The seafood bread was out of this world. Baked scallops were good but very small. Presentation was creative.
Very good seafood and drinks. The look and feel of the restaurant is a bit outdated. Prices are hand written on the menu with a sharpie and the drink menu is displayed on the napkin holder. Everything feels like a afterthought for the guest experience. The shrimp was delicious comes with corn and potatoes. 1lbs is quite filling.
