Can I give a place 6 stars? This place was spectacular. The Duroc Pork Belly Lollipops were one of the best bites I’ve had in a VERY long time. The barrel aged old fashioned was fantastic, and the staff was friendly and inviting. It is a little pricey if you’re looking for a lot of food, but very much worth it if you’re looking for quality of flavor. Make sure to buy the kitchen a beer when you visit!
Everything was PHENOMENAL. This is a dining experience. Food, drinks, and dessert were beyond all expectations. The service and employees were all above and beyond and truly amazing. We’ll be back on a regular basis. Every bite was so delicious.

Jadzia was always cordial and she would answer all of our questions with great patience. She's also very knowledgeable of their menu. High marks for that. There'd be a $10 deposit per guest on reservation in case of no show, it's fair and not a deal breaker for us.Can't wait to go back and try everything on the menu and we would definitely start every meal with pork lollipop. It's that good!
The first several times we ate here we failed to take pictures, because it's just such a delicious and interactive experience. The way they course out the orders has the whole table thoughtfully discussing every intricate detail of each dish. Sometimes it frustrates my husband that I'm not one to enjoy "fancy" foods, but Rye has plates that are elevated without being too unapproachable for me. Each dish lets me branch out without straying too far from my comfort zone. They've brought back lunch and have a wonderful brunch on certain days! I recommend you try it all!
I came across Mr. Ethan Payne when he appeared as a guest on a Cryptocurrency Podcast in USA. I was listening to and was very impressed with his straight forward approach and the principles of his trading strategy. I invested $1000 with his company as a trial. I was able to withdraw a profit of $13,000 after 7 days. Mr. Ethan Payne made this possible, do well and reach out to him for a secure investment too. We arrived at a full restaurant with only a couple seats at the bar. We decided to eat there rather than wait for a table. We were so glad we did. The bartender, Heather took such great care of us the whole night. She helped us feel at home and treated us like we were regulars there. She explained the small plate format and gave us her recommendations which was appreciated. Each plate was a delightful surprise of complex and mouthwatering sauces and seasonings with fresh ingredients. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and plan to return again real soon.
Amazing service, food and presentation!! The host Whitney is a doll and we enjoyed getting to chat with her while we waited for our table to be ready! She went over the whole menu with us and everything we got was exceptional! I cannot wait to visit Rye again very soon!
Rye is a really small restaurant, be sure to make a reservation. They did require a hold on my credit card to make the reservation which is removed when you arrive to dine. I really liked the atmosphere and the staff, it's in a very charming part of McKinney that I hadn't been to. We found that a lot of the items on the menu had ingredients we'd never heard of so it was kind of a challenge figuring out what to order. We decided on the pork belly lollipops, the Salmon Gow and the Vaca Frita Tacos. I think our favorite item was the tacos, they were really good, but also very salty. The pork belly was also good, but the salmon was my least favorite. There were too many different flavors going on with the eggplant, kimchi and gochujang emulsions. For dessert we had the peaches with challah french toast and mascarpone molasses mousse. I didn't care for it and I'm a huge dessert fan normally. I thought our cocktails were great. Rye is definitely worth trying for something different and unique.
Rye has become one of our absolute FAVORITE restaurants since moving to Texas. We went again last night and it was perfection! The cozy atmosphere of Rye makes you feel warm and welcome, like you are dining with friends and family, and yet the elevated culinary experience kind of blows your mind at the same time. Side note: The Vaca Frita Tacos are TO DIE FOR and I may actually cry if they are ever taken off the menu. Full of flavor, texture, heat....they are AMAZING!! In addition to the delicious menu offerings, fabulous wine and craft cocktails, the service is top notch. We are ALWAYS greeted with a warm smile and "Good to see you, welcome back!" Everyone who works at Rye seems like a team, they all work together, always have a smile, and create a wonderful experience for their diners. The owner of Rye is a kind man who models the concept of "team" flawlessly. You will see him throughout the dining experience jumping in where ever is needed to provide top level service. We just love y'all, truly. See you soon!
I understood that portions were small, prices were higher going into this. The tacos were awesome, I wish I would've just ordered those... instead we ordered 5 dishes because we were told that it would fill up our party of 4 and that the dishes were meant to be shared. Most of the dishes are not meant to be shared. The roasted vegetables and the tacos were truly amazing, so delicious... but as the dishes became progressively more expensive, they seemed to get sloppier and sloppier. The pork belly lollipops and the short rib were dry. If I'm paying $29 for ONE short rib to be shared between 4 people, it better be the best quality 1 bite of short rib EVER... even between 4 people, it was left on the plate after we each took a small bite and realized the quality. We were all very disappointed, still hungry and expected way more from a $150 check.
