A longtime favorite place to go, with a variety of items on the menu so everyone will be happy. For those wanting a lite meal there are salads and soups, they have an appetizer knows as bombs (yes it is fried) but oh so worth it. Grilled fish options. Shrimp and grits. The atmosphere is casual dining. The waitstaff was friendly and very efficient.
Be cautious of this place. We ordered non hot, garlic butter and we got nitro hot, wife can't eat it .They offered to wash off the hot sauce as a solution. . Bad service, bad manager. They even showed me the order, garlic butter.. I ended up eating by my self. Not coming back. $104 bucks not worth it, Razzios is one block north and has better food and management !
I got the catfish platter. Looked good with coleslaw and French fries. One bite of the slaw was all I could take if it as it had chopped bell peppers in it. I finally got our servers attention and asked if I could have something else like fried okra. That would be an up charge so instead The creamed corn would be a good choice. Wrong! It tasted like corn in condensed milk. When asking the server about the corn, she said it was made with condensed milk. I was dead on. It was thick and the corn flavor was masked. Then to top things off, I bit down on a tinfoil/lid foil off the tarter sauce. The manager mentioned it may face come off the deep fat fryer mesh. The manager did comp my meal. The catfish was good and there were two hush puppies that were tasty. Any restaurant can have an off night but it will be a while before I go back for another try. Every time before this it has always be a very good meal. Just not my night.
when you have a no reservation policy but u have tables reserved. Make no sense. Easy way to turn of customers!!
Amazing service, delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. ?
Great service, great food!
Great menu... fast service... decent prices... really good food. We love the grilled salmon!!
Smoked jalapeno cream soup was delicious. Had lots of flavor and a little heat, not overbearing. Kids loved the fish sticks, me too. Red snapper was cooked perfect and the sauce hit it off. Great food and service rivaling any of the local seafood chains.
As first-time visitors, my wife and I had conservative expectations of this place and wanted to get some cues whether we like it here and add it to our list of good restaurants, or we simply classify it as a one-meal stand. We didn't just like it but we loved it... We ordered the Volcano Shrimp, Three-cheese spinach dip and stir-fried Snapper fish cooked the Oscar-style, served over over a bed of Arzo, and covered with a rich creamy crab sauce with parmesan and herbs. We were shocked with all the flavors' feast in our mouths, coupled with excellent service and reasonable price. Best place in Mckinney for seafood.
Excellent Grilled Snapper!!
