Saturday the 19th of March, I had ordered 4 dishes and a Spring Roll...The Spring Roll was the best. My #E16 Chicken Pad Thai was supposed to be made with Rice Noodle, it was not!!! It was made with flat Lo-Mein noodles which was terrible, made the dish weird tasting! The flavor was good, the noodles were not!!! The #E6 Mandarin Kung Poa was good, but there was very minimal Chicken, 90% vegetable?...The #E17 Honey Sesame Chicken was okay.The #E15 Beef Lo-Mein was okay, but again, where's the Beef???I would go there again if I got my proper Noodles and if their Meat portions improved, even if it were only 25%.....
Good, satisfying Chinese food when you need it quick! Decent hours to get Chinese food when you crave Chinese food. I got the shrimp lo mein for take out and had it made spicy and it's nice and tasty, a good classic with mild heat, made fresh in a quick amount of time and I'm grateful. Pics of the menu and lunch deals. All good and reliable.
Good food and portions. My wife and I ordered the orange chicken and Dragon & Phoenix. Both were very tasty.
I use to really enjoy ordering from here, but lately the quality of their food and service has declined. what was once hot and sour soup is now egg drop with mushrooms. I've ordered chicken and received shrimp. The employee I spoke with even told me that they recycle the soup. If you don't want to get sick, don't eat here. They are current operating without a manager and it is upsetting the decline of a once good restaurant
The standards of this place have gone wayyy down. Don’t eat here. It’s oily, dry and too expensive. And when I called to complain in a very nice way the manager said for me to bring food back for a refund. I didn’t want a refund…I just needed the dinner.So don’t waste your time
Staff was cordial enough however the food was honestly terrible. The chicken was dry and textured as if it had previously been thawed and refrozen before and the temperature was consistent with the use of a microwave. The honey chicken was covered in a heavy sauce which wasn't fresh and did not have the consistency, taste or any other relevance to honey chicken. Money wasted. We couldn't get past the first bite.
The few things I have had here have been very good. Rice Pot is very quick and inexpensive no fuss Chinese food.
Taste is good however in all veggie dishes they only give 50% lettuce which is very bad. For instance, in veggie delight they put 50% lettuce when the description states different veggies. Also, for vegetarians, there is no meat so it should be cheaper for you anyway compared to meat dishes so, why not replace with good veggies rather than mostly lettuce. If you want to bring your cost lower then revise quantity or increased the price. This my second review for Rice pot express. First I kept for the Prosper location and this one for Mckinney. I need to find some better Chinese restaurant now :(
I ordered on their last hour of service at the counter for take out. My order was made fresh, and was ready in five minutes. Staff was pleasant and delightful. Restaurant was very clean.
The veggie fried rice is delicious! Great portions too, especially the lunch one.
