We were seated immediately. Our waitress was excellent explaining a bit about the menu and bringing more drinks as needed. The enchiladas were good. The steak taco was inedible - the meat was extremely tough. I certainly did not expect to spend $76 for 3 meals and 2 drinks.

I don't know what to say about this place. The chips and salsa was the only reason for two stars. Chips and salsa was good, but that's a cover for the terrible food. We ordered marinated carne asada skirt steak and it was so tough we couldn't eat it. It was NOT marinated in anything but butter. It was not skirt steak at all. It was so rare. I ordered ground beef tacos on corn and it came out on flour and there was NO flavor. I mean no flavor like straight ground beef. It was awful. Husband ordered beer, guess what, it was flat. It just was not meant to be for us. We will not be going back.

Like most reviews we have drove past this place for roughly a year and decided to get it out of our system. The salsas and charro beans had great flavor. The main course (proteins) chicken and steak had zero seasonings on them no salt or pepper on the tables to help either. Chicken looked boiled and the steak came out all cut into pieces instead of one piece as shown in other photos. This place is full of teenagers and it seems that the cook was one as well, not 100 percent just guessing with the lack of or no seasonings in the dish. Bacon was missing from both main courses and the plates were cold - atleast the beer was cold*Did not take pictures - will for the next negative review as to back my statements.

Very friendly welcome by the hostess; excellent service by the waiter. He was attentive, recommended several dishes and made our dining experience a pleasant one. The food? Absolutely delicious particularly tacos al pastor. I love this restaurant offers a jarrito soda, tomatillo sauce and a tasty dish. A+ and in addition it offers military discount.

Most excellent food and service. Highly recommend!

If I could I would give them zero stars. I don’t write reviews very often but I felt the need to make one about this particular restaurant. I came in recently during my lunch break and not only was the “authentic Mexican food” not authentic what so ever but not good. I got shrimp tacos and the shrimp had no seasoning only a fishy taste. The rice was bland and had no flavor. Not only was the food not good but neither was the atmosphere. I felt uncomfortable and realized that this “Mexican food” place had no diversity. In my opinion I do not think having blown up photos of hispanic children being used at decoration is appropriate. As a hispanic person I think it is a bit inappropriate despite the fact that there were no hispanic people or any people of color in general. I provided a few photos that I found on their instagram page with the pictures in the background.

I'll begin this by saying the service was outstanding. It was a pleasure to spend time eating out at Petra. We have seen this place and have wanted to try it out for a long time, just never got back up in that direction. The food was wonderful with one exception. The food was not cold but it was just warmer than room temperature. I think the plate was warmer than the food on it. The flavors were great but I would have enjoyed it all better if it was warmer. We will be back... so many items on the menu that need to be tasted.

We had an excellent tex mex lunch at Petra a week ago. Ordered their veggie enchiladas and assorted tacos. Everything was delicious. Chips and salsa were the best I have had so far and I live in NYC.

I stopped in for a late lunch today while I was out today after a meeting, I have driven by many times but decided to stop and give it a try. It was close to 3:30, so not many patrons inside. The decor is clean and uncluttered. I decided to sit outside on the small patio, the tables and chairs are colorful with a bright yellow awning overhead.I had chips and salsa delivered immediately, served with two salsa options, one red, one green. Both salsa's have a good flavor. Then I sat, and sat, and sat.I hadn't eaten all day so was incredibly hungry so went inside to the bar and asked for a server to come out and see me and ordered a beer from the bartender. Walking back to my table the beer is warm so I turn right around and asked for a cold one. Bartender laughs and says he just put them in the fridge. ?The server finally came out and was friendly, took my order and had some good suggestions from the menu. I ordered a sour cream enchilada and a Baja fish taco (with no tomato or onion) rice and borracho beans. The Baja fish taco came out unfortunately with onions that I picked off but still tasted very strongly of onions. The enchilada had a creamy sauce and was really nice but rice and beans were very bland.I don't often give 2 stars but the experience was worthy of it in my opinion.⭐⭐
