This is our second time coming here. We really enjoyed it both times. They're always so friendly and nice. There's never been an issue with getting a table. The hibachi chefs are fun and do all the fun tricks like the onion volcano ?. I ordered steak ? medium and it was medium well but still delicious ?. Kids had shrimp ? and chicken ?. We also ordered sushi ? to start. Our meals came with a soup and salad with a ginger dressing. It's a fun neighborhood hibachi restaurant worth checking out.
We were able to reserve a table for 8 on Sunday afternoon. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were celebrating a birthday and the chef made a special recognition and we were able to get some nice family photos. The food was excellent and we felt like it was worth returning to. Thank you, Okada, for making my birthday special.
Pretty average hibachi food, tbh. The service was good. Nothing was just super amazing. Waaaaaay overpriced- which is why I’m giving it 2 stars. We went at lunch, expecting that to be somewhat cheaper. I got the chicken bento, my boyfriend got the chicken hibachi, and my 2 sons shared a chicken hibachi. My boyfriend and I upgraded to fried rice. Myself and youngest son drank water. The total, after 15% tip, was $70. We definitely didn’t get $70 quality, or portions (obviously- lunch). Kinda wish we would’ve just had Shogun.
My family and I used to come here very often (almost once/twice a month), we loved it and thought the food was great. I am not a fan of sushi, so we have always gone for their habatchi. The very last time we went, the older Asian lady was very rude and forcefully sat us down at the sushi tables, and then when I had asked her if we could be sat at the habatchi table; she was extremely rude and said that we couldn’t sit there because we were sharing a habatchi dinner… after some back and forth talk… we were sat at the habatchi table, and she later on apologized and gave me a hug. I said it’s ok, but ever since then I’ve realized that business and money is more important for her than losing a happy and regular customer… and for that reason I cannot support Okada.
Celebrated a birthday for a grandchild. Everyone was delighted watching our cook perform...especially the children. The food was delicious.
Terrible service - the waitress had the worst attitude and did not bother refilling drinks or clearing plates at the already overcrowded table we sat at. Mediocre food, small portions and really pricey. Avoid this place and try the Asian Buffet instead. For half the cost you can have as much as you want, the restaurant is clean, the food - including the hibachi - is great and the service is spot on.
Very good staff and pleasant food.
My wife and I were looking to spend our weekly date night somewhere we had not yet been. Desiring Chinese or hibachi, we found Okada. Many places we visit for dinner on a Thursday night are busy. For whatever reason, this place was not…but should be. The cocktails were great and our hibachi scallop and seafood combination dinners were fabulous. Not cheap, but excellent. Nice atmosphere, great service and wonderful food. We will be back!
Very decent hibachi. Started with the Tempura Basket, which was good, but a little bland. Our group of four ordered the Filet & Chicken (2) and Filet & Shrimp (2) all with fried rice, and a California Roll. Our party's general consensus was:Salad was ok, ginger dressing a little strong/gritty. Soup was too peppery. Fried rice was ok, but needed onion and the corn was odd. Veggies & noodles delicious, Steak was the highlight of the meal - tender and seasoned well. Shrimp was great as well. We weren't fans of the mushroom dipping sauce, but the ginger sauce was ok - just a little too thick for our preference. Sushi was fresh, and delicious. We are loyal patrons of the late Kobe Steakhouse in Addison, and are searching for a new hibachi "home" and Okada is definitely a contender! If you're in the area, would recommend you check them out.
Went to get lunch, was told otp it would b 25 mins. Wen I arrived they did not have my order ready. I had to wait another 20 mins for my food. The female worker was VERY rude. She was unhelpful and did not care for my business . she even got upset when I asked for a sauce after making me wait so long. Food was under cooked and I ended up throwing it away bc I couldn’t eat it. Will not b returning . They do not like WOC!
