I think my boyfriend and I think about going here for lunch every single day. The sandwiches are the perfect size and always made so perfectly. Everything so fresh. We've stopped going to any other sandwich shop. I even love their cookies, brownies, and potato salad that always comes with a dash of paprika. They even sell whole pickles. It's a place that feels like the owners put so much care into what they serve.
Best sub shop ever, I couldn’t give this place any less than 5 stars. I’ve been here multiple time and they have amazing sandwiches and incredible ice cream. I just now tried their coffee ice cream for the first time and it was freezer burnt, not good. I recommend the triple Oreo smash but would still like to try the coffee flavor at a fresher time.
My sisters worked for this company years ago…they are tucked away so it’s hard to remember them when you need to….but their subs are classics. My favorite is the #5 on white. Their bread is insanely good and it makes the sandwich what it is! Freshly sliced premium meats and the freshest ingredients. Hope they stick around for many years to come!
This is my favorite Great Outdoors in the area, as well as my favorite sub shop! The staff is very efficient, patient but doesn't put up with bs, and WOW the food is good. Prices are pretty fair too, especially given the quality.10/10 recommend!
I’d like to know who’s running this place and how this shop is still open. It’s very slow anytime I’m here. Today I bought a shake and when I got home I realized it wasn’t even frozen. It’s like drinking milk. I don’t understand how someone can send something out like that.
I love Great Outdoors, but this last time, something got me sick. I kept belching up lettuce and it was bad. I spent some unplanned time in the bathroom quite a few times. It's easy to get things cross contaminated. I bet I am not the only one that this happened to. They need to check it and be more careful.
Typically I go through the drive thru and have no issues at all, but today I went in the store.
Let me start with saying the food is fine.We've gone through the drive thru maybe 5 or 6 times over 3 years but have never been inside. Today we decided we'd stop in on the way home from grocery shopping. We came in at 5:30pm and someone almost immediately walked past us to turn off the open sign and lock the doors. There was a barrier to the line that you normally order in. So, we had to stand really far back to order. We felt uncomfortable after they went and turned everything off and the woman taking our order was not friendly at all. She seemed very annoyed that we dare inconvenience her with our business. We wanted to add dessert to our order but by the time we got through ordering our meals we decided it wasn't worth it. Maybe we would have felt up to it after finishing our meal but they had started closing everything right after we were rang up. We couldn't have even refilled our drinks if we wanted to. While we were eating, the woman who had taken our order kept looking at us and then looking at her watch. It was extremely uncomfortable. A couple tried to leave and they were locked in. They had to ask to be let out. 4 minutes until close, someone had came in to order and they were turned away. I was a GM of a restaurant for many years. One thing I would never do is turn away a paying customer even a minute before close. Not to mention they deterred any other potential customers by turning off the open sign and locking the doors 30 mintues before they closed.If it wasn't for the really poor customer service I may had never started looking around the restaurant out of curiosity of the other things that were poorly managed. The floors were absolutely filthy. They hadn't been mopped in awhile and underneath the tables were disgusting. The whole place was booming with dust... especially the bathrooms.Again, the food is good.Behind the counter looks clean and the food stations look clean as well.It looks like they do everything that is required. They certainly don't do the "extra" things to keep the place up as well as they should and the customer service is just God awful.I don't know of any other locations but this one we certainly will not be returning to.
Always love the Great Outdoors. Favorite is either the BLT or the #5 Roast beef and cheese. Never a bad sandwich. PB cookies are also delicious!
Superb sandwich!! I had the #12 Outdoorsman with all the works plus avocado and boyyyy was it incredibly fresh and delicious! ? The sandwich was huge and I was only able to eat half, but I’m already looking forward to the other half for dinner, lol. ? And add a chocolate chunk cookie while you’re at it-you won’t regret it! ? ?
