Fantastic food! I has the grill Jalapeno Bacon Wrapped Shrimp with sautéed veggies and refried beans.

Food was beyond delicious! The staff was amazing! The atmosphere is great. The Pina Colada was the best! The street & brisket tacos were amazing! Ask for Arlene she was the best!!!

The food was fine but nothing special. The service was terrible! We had our rehearsal dinner here and as the bride and the person paying the servers, I forgot my drink. I had to leave my party space to go to the bar. They then double charged for drinks I had already paid for at the bar. Imagine spending roughly $1,000 and the servers coming to your table asking everyone if they needed a drink and completely ignoring the Bride multiple times! Like I wasn't even in the room. It was the actual worst experience. It was clear that I was the host, and they were terrible to me.

El Major is a terrific Mexican food restaurant, less than a block off the square, in McKinney, TX. Their food is fantastic. We ordered their guacamole for our appetizer. It was so fresh and delicious! I ordered the cheese chile relleno. It was terrific! In fact they give you two of them! Hello lunch tomorrow! As a vegetarian, usually there aren’t any beans that are vegetarian, but here, they offer vegetarian black beans, which is much appreciated. One of their sides is fresh sautéed veggies and those were really yummy, too! Go check this place out! It’s reallllly good! Sorry, I didn’t take any photos of the food. We gobbled it up too fast! Lol
The food was delicious however I had problem with how clean the restaurant was specifically ladies room. I couldn’t enjoy the food after found hair on my dish.
El Mejor if I'm not mistaken means the best translated. I would have to agree, it was one of the best I've ever had. The chips were just like I prefer them. Light and dusted with a little salt. The salsa was fresh with just the right amount of heat. The brisket queso was so good, I want to go there right now for dinner as I'm writing this review. LolI made a mis step and ordered the chicken sandwich. It was 6 out of 10 stars. I should have ordered the fish Tacos. I bet there so good. Lastly the Tres Leches Cake is a must...its exceptionally good:)
This is my second time at El Mejor and I thought it was fantastic! Amazing salsa and chips and then I got the veggie fajitas (a tip though, if you want the portobello mushrooms in you fajitas then you need to ask for it specifically). Everything was delicious, staff was friendly and pricing was on par with what you would expect a Mexican restaurant in downtown McKinney would be.
