Menudo! Lets face it, menudo is not for everyone and not everyone can make it. This place will definitely satisfy your palette if you dont or cant make it yourself. I cant comment on any other food items bc once i tried ther menudo i couldnt try anything else. They also have excellent aguas frescas! Est is clean, servers are nice, and the only reason i give a 4 star is because they are on the slower side.
We stopped for lunch, 05/22/22. Great food, great service, friendly. Highly recommend. The enchiladas verdes was good, the juevos with chorizo was good too.
On my first visit here I parked outside and called in my order. I ordered a Menudo and 6 barbacoa tacos. I waited 10 minutes and walked in, I smiled and said good morning to the man who was behind the register, as I walked up he was literally looking at me up and down, he never said good morning, welcome in NOTHING. I stood at the window and he was just looking around but never directed his attention towards me. Finally I said I’m here to pick up my order I called in. He walks out from behind the counter and walks over to a table to my right and grabs a paper and walked back behind the register. He proceeded to just look at me up and down and when he got to the register he said your food is over there on that table , told the price of my food and took my payment. I said thank you, and he again just looked at me up and down and did not give a “you are welcome” “please come back and see us” . I felt VERY uncomfortable and VERY unwelcome by my own raza. The food was okay, I liked that they had hand made tortillas and the menudo was mostly flavorful. I will not be returning, I don’t think he wanted me to be there anyway. I only went here because the restaurant I originally wanted to go to was closed , it was around 8am. This was a really unpleasant experience, please have ALL of your staff acknowledge your customers. You make eye contact, smile and say good morning or welcome in.
Guacamole was GREAT...Service was excellent. Fajitas were very good. Chicken enchiladas were good, rice was great. I will be back
Menudo barely had any hominy & my very small bowl of caldo barely had any chicken. They didn't serve lemonade or barbequoa.
To be fair i have only had their caldo de res and nothing else, however that dish alone is delicious. I would definitely recommend this place just for that. I update once i visit and try other food. Price is reasonable.
Service was a little slow but the food was fantastic. Tortillas were great. We had Tacos Alcarbon, the Special Dinner and an order of Chicken Fajitas. The guacamole was made fresh. I will definitely eat here again.
The tamales and beef fajita chile relleno were delicious. The combo fajita plate was a bit light on the protein and didn't come with rice which was odd. The place needs some sprucing up. Maybe a deep clean and a new coat of brighter paint but we had zero wait. Friendly staff. Food was very good.
Very nice Mexican food restaurant. Food was excellent. The wife had LuLu special and I had theirspecialty Menudo. The menudo had the right of hominy and meat.it needed a touch of mexican oregano and cilantro. The restrooms were very clean. Overall a great restaurant!
My family loves eating here. The food is consistently good. Highly recommend the cheese Chile relleno and pork guisada. The salsa and home made tortillas hit the spot. The rice is THE best rice we have ever had. Unassuming spot with delicious, inexpensive food. Service can be lacking ( slow ) we will continue to come back.
