I have eaten at this location for years now. It is one of the few chain restaurants that has been consistently great with food quality and service. I swear there are some days I get a burger and it is a contender for one of the best burgers I've ever had. I have also never had a bad experience service-wise either. Oh and I feel like I have to mention that their custard is top notch, definitely give it a try.
So, with this location, you can't order online, but the kicker, they don't answer the phone either. So unless you want to walk in and wait and wait and wait, no other option. Apparently "Corporate" instructed this location to NOT answer phones but rather only service live people walking in. Really?
Upon arrival we stood in a short line at the counter, I ordered the fried cod dinner, paid for my food and was handed a number tent to place on my table. The food arrived at my table within 12 minutes of ordering. The fries and the fish were cooked fresh. The cod pieces were thick, rectangular and coated in a light crispy batter. The Cole slaw was fresh and delicious.( not too sweet)The meal came with a roll. They also have a variety of tasty ice cream sundaes and milkshakes so I got a hot fudge sundae! It was sweet, creamy and gone!!
I have been going to this particular Culver's since they first opened. I have never had a negative or bad issue with anyone or anything there until today. I called to place a To-Go order and to start with the gentleman that answered the phone was definitely in a hurry (it was obvious by the way he rushed me) and was a little on the "short" side with his responses. Then when I went and got my order I took it home and was very disappointed for the first time with Culver's. I ordered the pot roast sandwich and it was slopped together and had very little meat on it. Normally there is at least twice as much meat on these type of sandwiches from there but not tonight. I almost forgot, when I placed my order I had asked for cheese curds and was informed they no longer had marinara sauce to go with them. That was a bummer as well. I will of course return to this location because some times things happen. I just hope it doesn't continue to happen.
I usually love Culver's, but this location was not enjoyable. I think a lot of their employees were new, and that's understandable, but none of them seemed very happy to be there. This is maybe more of a reflection on management? They forgot the drinks on all four of our kids meals and forgot our large order of cheese curds, too. It wasn't extremely busy, either. The tables were all dirty and the floor was sticky. They also forgot the whipped cream on my wife's custard at the end, but by that point we felt so bad from having to go back repeatedly and ask for things that had been forgotten that we just decided to forget about it. I didn't want to give the employees a harder time than they already had. Also, I wish their menu board at this location had at least a brief description of what's on each item. The burger I ordered was completely different than what I thought I was ordering.
Delicious food. We love coming here :)
Great burgers with choice of cheeses and good fries I liked the Swiss cheese on the burger with fried onions and the iced tea was very fresh
Ordered onion rings with my food and they brought me French fries. My receipt was rung up with fries, which wasn’t super surprising because the young girl who took our order looked and acted like she wasn’t trained well. I went to try and correct my order, expecting that for the inconvenience they’d just give me onion rings. I even took the bag of fries back to the counter. They still wanted to upcharge me for the cashiers mistake. The manager was even standing behind the cashier when I was discussing the issue and she didn’t seem to care about what was happening. When I said, “Why should I still have to pay an upcharge for something that wasn’t even my mistake? I ordered onion rings in the first place. So now my food gets cold while I have to fix this.” The cashier was acting like I was trying to do something shady...with onion rings. ? It was a really crap way to treat a REGULAR customer. The other cashier made a snide remark to me as I walked away. We left our food on the table and went elsewhere. Won’t give this place my business again.
Yum. Everything is good. Get a pork tenderloin and some cheese curds for a taste of the Midwest. Ice cream is to die for. The restaurant is impeccably clean.
Overall: 4/5 Starstl;dr Burger good, fries meh, and dessert great.Burger: I got a double cheeseburger with grilled onions and mushrooms. The patties were cooked well but the cheese were not so good. The cheese was hard and not melted at all. (4/5)Fries: The fries were nothing special. Not good; not bad. (3/5)Dessert: I got a vanilla malt with Heath Bar’s and it was one of the best malts I’d ever tasted. They struck a fine balance right where it’s easy to drink out of a straw and still solid enough to where you can scoop out of a cup. (5/5)
