Extremely slow in service and disorganized. Even after calling ahead and arriving 15 mins later the order was not ready. Even after arrival and waiting another 10 mins I finally noticed my name on a bag behind the counter and when I asked the lead person she still said the order was not ready. When I pointed she realized my order was sitting and getting cold. Finally I realized my hot breakfast sandwich was cold and dry and the latte I had ordered had mellowed away...they are not equipped to handle a slightly busy Sunday morning!!!
So, granted it's a busy Saturday morning, ok, that's expected. Their phones aren't working... drive over and Ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a salmon lox sandwich croissant (no tomato no capers as I have an allergy) with avocado. The guy at the counter pulls my husband up and asks "on a croissant? You know how hard it is to spread cream cheese on a croissant??" Husband explains that's what his wife (me) wants. He holds up the slip of paper and it can be clearly seen no tomato and no capers circled. Several people behind in line got their orders first for some reason, then finally get our order. When we finally open it at home, come to find, the salmon sandwich has the tomatoes and capers on it and no avocado (that you pay extra for). Needless to say a little upsetting, though have to admit that the food is fresh and tasty.
I came here for the first time last Friday (I think) and let me just say that the lady who takes the orders, even though she is running around getting orders ready, and you can see how busy she is, she is such a nice person and doesn't let that stress affect her cheery mood. I adore her! She made the best vegetable cream cheese that she personally makes.I went in there again this morning and she was just as cheerful as she was last week. Busy too. But her and the guy who makes the orders are very fast and they seem to get people in and out quickly. Great customer service with a smile ☺️
We lived in McKinney for 17 years and never tried Benny’s. What maroons we were!! We drove down from our new home and tried them and they are sooooo good!!! Don’t be like us. Eat the bagels!!
Great authentic bagle shop. Seems to always be relatively busy, which is a good sign. Very hard working crew - highly recommended
My favorite thing to order is half a dozen sliced bagles and they are delicious ?Good breakfast sandwiches too!

Pros:- Lovely ambiance - warm, cozy, your neighborhood breakfast spot feels.- Friendly staff- Tasty hot chocolate- Tasty plain cream cheeseCons:- Staff messed up our order pretty badi) I ordered the early riser, no meat. I got 2 eggs on my bagel. No green peppers, no cheese, no butter (or barely there if it was)ii) I ordered 6 Bagels to go and they messed up on the ones I ordered.iii) Came with my kids to dine in (and ordered some bagels to go) but everything was packed for take out- Plain Bagels did (sadly) taste like they were microwavedThis was my first visit, and hopefully not the last. Overall, I'm glad I visited them and wish them the best and success.
