The food was incredible, and the service was perfect. The entire staff was warm and friendly. Our meal was served promptly, and we didn't need anything. The staff was on top of every detail. Our glasses were never empty, and the timing was perfect. They noticed as we chatted, and they interjected without being a distraction to my friends and I. We will most certainly be back.
Went for happy hour, half price apps, was not disappointed. Picture is bacon wrapped shrimp and scallops, - delish! We also had Guerra tapas - very good; Sriracha chicken clusters - good; and calamari - excellent! Wife had a strawberry Margherita which she very much enjoyed.Service was superb, very friendly, accommodating, attentive - we were only ones sitting outside way off in the corner but they consistently checked on us.
Service was quite poor considering it's ranked #1 restaurant in McAllen. Lobster tail was ok, seafood pasta was overcooked. Steaks didn't look as good as Santa Fe. I wouldn't call this #1 in McAllen.
This is a beautiful restaurant with the perfect ambiance for a romantic dinner date or a celebration with friends. If you like good food, choose Patio on Guerra! Service is a bit slow, but the food is worth the wait. For an appetizer, I tried the Crab Meat Tower. It is jumbo lump crab meat marinated in citrus juices, mixed with slices of fresh mango; stacked over chunks of avocado with truffle oil. IT IS A MUST-HAVE.For an entrée, I had the Pistachio Salmon. Pan-seared pistachio and almond-crusted salmon with a ginger beurre blanc sauce. The salmon was a little dry, but still good. As a side, I had the wild rice with cranberries and almonds -- which was delicious! My Cocktails Review:• BERRY HAPPY (My Score: 10)Berry Vodka, Peach Schnaps, Lemon Lime Soda, Fresh Berries...It was the perfect blend of sweet and refreshing!• METROPOLITAN (My Score: 8)Rosé, Lime Juice, Cranberry Juice, Vodka...It tasted surprisingly strong. I was hoping for a softer drink with a good kick.• CARRETA (My Score: 8)Tequila, Mineral Water, Lime...This drink took my back to my college years! It's a great choice if you're watching your calories• PALOMA (My Score: 6)Tequila, Squirt Soda...I was very disappointed with the Paloma. It is usually made with grapefruit juice. It tasted very lacking. It is probably best to stick to the cocktail specialties listed on the menu.Overall, this place is FANTASTIC!
Service was top notch. Food was so delicious. Other than needing to add a little salt to the ceviche, everything was very well seasoned. Lighting and temperature were perfect. Cucumber martini was soooo good as well. I definitely recommend this place, but if you're eating here keep in mind it's not a fast food restaurant so be patient. There was a bit of a wait between getting our drinks, appetizers, and main course. Definitely worth the wait though. Absolutely loved this place.
This was our fist time at The Patio on Guerra. Customer service was superb. The ambiance was welcoming and romantic. We both enjoyed the pecan glazed-apple-pomegranate salad, fresh bread plus the prime filet. Everything was delicious!!
Excelente servicio la comida deliciosa es mi lugar favorito lo recomiendo ampliamente!!
This is a great classic and a place that competes tet-a-tet with high end places in big cities. The menu has very original and smart choices and the meat is very good. Well above average of many other places in Mcallen. Service is excellent as well as the wine list where there are excellent options.
Nice atmosphere, great food, and great service
One of the loveliest places to go eat and have a romantic 20 year anniversary at. The hospitality was amazing with a special table, awesome atmosphere and great drinks. Your cup will never be empty. The food was good but the chicken was a little dry. But don't let that slow you down. This is your place to go for a romantic evening.
