My mother in-law call the day before Father’s Day. She spoke to a person, who said she can place an order on mobile and just tell them you are eating at the restaurant. There is a discount for Father’s Day. We ran into an issue about if you order mobile your not able to eat here. They finally reason but still brought it out in Togo container which they fix but was a mess everywhere. The food is definitely a 5 star the best in the RGV you can tell they take pride in there food. Don’t go to any other Palenque they had some issues but fixed.
Great service but even greater management!Food was amazing fajitas taste amazing!The manager came and check on us a couple times and made sure we enjoying our food.We come from Dallas and this is our first and last stop we come to the 956 areaDefinitely worth eating here❤️
Just had a delightful Mother's Day meal at Taco Palenque. My wife was greeted at the door by a charming young lady presenting her a beautiful red rose. The food was delicious, and at a very reasonable rate. A manager by the name of Alfredo stopped by to make sure we were being attended well. We told the manager that a server by the name of Adeyuis goes above and beyond the call of duty. He brought fresh hot tortillasand made sure our meal was the perfect eating experience. All the food was very tasty, but the fajitas were tender and bursting with flavor. I would highly recommend Taco Palenque, for great tasting food, great prices and above all wonderful and friendly service.
Love their bisteak,rice & bean in flour tortilla. Drive thru is fast enough for me & mine
Just had my worst experience EVER at this place! Ordered 9 tacos and ALL of them were incorrect. In addition, I waited 30 minutes to receive my order after placing it. I get home, and all of the tacos were soggy. Very disappointed.
I am officially done with the Palenque on N. 10th. The customer service has gotten insanely terrible to non existent!! I was there for 2 parrilladas for 4 and panchos on the 31st. Not only did they want to sell me the sauces (because apparently the sauces on the bar are for dine-in ONLY), but they took 1.5 hrs getting my order together when they said it would take 20-25 minutes. ANDDD everything was wrong. I got 6 tortillas total for all that food, the whole seed was in the bowl of the guacamole instead of the actual guacamole, and they didn’t even give me the pico de gallo they claimed came with my order. Then the manager instead of dealing with my questioning his logic behind not giving me any sauce for the Mexican food I’d ordered, gives me two bowls and said “IF you can find any sauces on the bar then you can take some.” The cashier was upset at the fact that he’d given me the bowls and was extremely rude. While I waited for my order, I observed the manager speaking with another customer that was upset her order was wrong. He proceeded to answer a phone call on his cellphone while the customer was speaking. As a former hospitality manager, I was embarrassed by his actions and lack of customer service. Then, today we went to get burritos for dinner and waited 45 minutes only to receive a piece of mess. I will NEVER return to this Palenque again. I am extremely disappointed how it went from being the best, most attentive, amazing customer service Mexican restaurant to THIS. NEVER AGAIN. Worst $140 I’ve ever spent.
I agree with the previous comment, this location’s quality has started to go downhill. Last night I waited in line for about 40 min for 2 caldo de res (beef soup) and all I received was broth and beef. No carrots, green beans, corn, or rice. I also didn’t get any cilantro or onions on the side. I don’t mind the wait, I just expect my order to be made right. It’s sad because the quality used to be outstanding.

The male server took down our order incorrectly and then left for the day. When we got our order, it was not complete. The restaurant was under construction and bare minimum was in the small space provided for customers. Not a very good experience and we may pass on Taco Palenque next time.
This restaurant used to have great prices and food. It is unfortunate that either the economy, or the restaurant becoming more corporate changed my positive opinion about it. If you want to avoid overpriced meals with not enough food and a boring dated ambiance please do not come to this location.
