so I came here to see what the commotion is all about why there's always alot of people so I decided to drop in .I ordered fish and shrimp Platter it was by far horrible frozen block of fish and frozen shrimp fries drenched in oil, starlight burger not my cup of tea I'll pass, buffalo wings weren't cooked properly after I told them I wanted them extra crispy they were like rubberbands .how ever the fried chicken was good and soft roll but the fries once again drenched in oil.i don't see any popularity in this nor will I return to this place. A little tip tho changing out the oil is necessary here everything looked so dark. I would not recommend this place based off my experience
1st time going to this place .Heard good things about Edinburg location and thought I'd give this one a try since I was in area..Very disappointed chicken was dark brown fried ..Either old frying oil or chicken was refried again.It was extremely dry,!Winded up discarding it..Didn't notice it till I left and got home..It was a 3 piece almost 10.00 bucksThis was my experience!Check your order make sure it's not over fried or dry.
RUDE EMPLOYEES. 5 minutes after after closing time and they turn off AC on you. Give you the mean eye: "get the f out of here". I understand is closing time and they have to start cleaning but c'mon.. took them 40 mins to give us our food and we were eating as fast as possible. Would have been done within 10 mins and there was really no need to be that rude. I miss the old employees from many years ago. The only nice person was the cleaning sir. He was so welcoming and friendly. The Chilli cheese dog had no flavor
Very sad.I called to order gizzards for my 90 yr old Mother n Law, that lives n a nursing facility.NO ONE was capable of taking my order.No one spoke ANY English.VERY SAD this still happens n 2022!!Acclimate.
There was a price increase for everything on the menu. The specials are still good for the price but know you will be paying about $8-9 per person with a combo
Very disappointed with the service. Took way too long with the food. Everyone else was getting theirs quicker, while my order was only for one plate. I’ve always loved the food from here as a kid, but this was ridiculous. Also, the staff has a tendency of either being in welcoming or rude.
Some of the best burgers in the valley. Their fries are real and taste incredible. 100% recommend
poor customer service..baddddddddddd customer service..cashier has issues ..leave your problems at home..smile at your customers greet them...asking to put face masks cooks without masks SMH
Still the best place in McAllen for burgers, fries, burritos, and so much more! The food still tastes great - this place has been here for well over 30 years, I hadn't been there in a long time. The food still tastes awesome, and is freshly made, portions are perfect, and they have very entertaining game machines to use while you wait for your food - or for after you finish eating. Excellent in my opinion, and I definitely recommend Starlite Burger to anyone and everyone!!
Rude as hell when calling on the phone. Don't want to answer phone. Then I go to the restaurant and still rude in person. Nasty inside. Burgers were not good. Rubbery. Many recommended this place to me. I say hell no to recommending to anyone. Don't waste your money or time. I would give a zero if I could.
