The service was wonderful and the ambience was perfect! Tons of seating to sip and relax! The first thing you notice while walking through the doors is the amazing aroma, it immediately gets you excited for what’s to come. This was our first visit so I ordered based on the suggestion of the woman behind the counter which was the MoonMud. We had it iced and it was amazing!! Can’t wait to visit again.
The whole ambiance is great and perfect for studying whether it's alone or in a group. My only issue with this place is that if you're there for 15 minutes or more without purchasing something they ask you to leave, now I completely understand this is a business and they need to make money. But maybe consider letting a person place an order and later asking for it, idk about you but sometimes I wanna study and then get some coffee or then get something to eat. I just feel like there's other ways around this, maybe if they don't want anything to drink they can pay x amount of money just to chill and study there.
The newer baristas don't know how to coarse beans and they always seep through the espresso resulting in a very nasty and bitter burnt tasting drink. Something has gone wrong recently and I thought my last drink was a fluke and I felt should give them another chance today but my doubts for moonbeans were confirmed. I used to come here whenever I could and was in need of coffee but I no longer will. I normally wouldn't leave a negative review but this place has a special place in my heart and hope this might give them insight in the directions they are taking.
Great flavors, but unknowledgable staff and HORRID health violations! Saw a girl drop a cup on the floor, pick it up and give it to a customer! Saw the condensed milk opened and then placed upside down in the pitcher, letting the substance touch the outsides of the can. I love the theme and flavors of the drinks here, but first two times I've been here since they moved and it's been horrible both times!
This place is dirty, strong cigarette smoke smell all over the building, dirty tables, flies around trash cans. In addition to rude employees.
I don't have a picture at the moment because i did not upload one..i will very soon...I have followed moonbeans for more than a decade because i loved their daily coffee offerings and i knew what to order when that particular coffee was not the featured coffee of the day...i am a simple coffee aficionado...but i LOVE a great tasting cupbof coffee....This new establishment they opened is just FABULOUS..JUST FABULOUS...LOVE IT...BUT.....i am more interested in the coffee taste than a spectacular ambience and scenery....This last time (3 weeks ago)...i webt in and i really didn't know what to order...butbit had to be an expresso anericano...or a daily brew coffee...THATS IT...The coffee they were serving that day...was not at ALL to my liking...whoever is Chosing the daily brew coffee..is kinda missing the taste thing by a mile...I understand they have to put oyt different coffees abd see which ones are a hit...but geez..that coffee was horrible...I asked the ladies behind the "bar" extensively over howbi could get what i used to get...and pretty much left with the answer "u get...what we got"....The brew is about a dollar more than Starbucks . Whichbis already a losing preposition when you have " meh" tasting coffee...I know i am 1 persons opinion...and i love Luis the owner to death..thats whybi am Sharing this piece so that maybe he can revisit the daily brews he serves...I cannot speak for all the marvelous looking drinks they have...as they seem very good and many customers love them....Thats my extended review...i will ve down the street ar Starbucks until i see there are newer great tasting daily brews...as i really LOVE supporting small businesses. Love their location. Love their coffee. My all time favorite ice coffee is the Oreo Orbit. Depending on the day.. depends on the size. ? Today took my girls my Lil diva tried the ice grande big dipper n she loved it. It has a vanilla taste to it. N then my Lil monkey loves her Oreo Orbit just like me but with extra chocolate swirl. We sat outside and enjoyed the peace n quiet. The cool breeze their laughter. It was worth the trip to my all time favorite coffee shop. No other coffee shop can compare.
The atmosphere is absolutely terrible at this place. It’s always SO dark and gloomy, there’s not a lot of outlets, the bathrooms are dirty, it smells weird like old and moldy. The tables and chairs are old and torn down. There’s so much space and so much potential but it’s all just so ugly. This business definitely is a catfish, on their social media they portray the business one way but in person it’s hideous! I was excited to see what they were going to do with the new location but it’s very underwhelming and dirty! They need to close down and renovate the entire place, I don’t know how people can study there. The patio is nice but that’s just about it. The coffee is a hit or miss too.
As a college student. It’s the most practical place to study, individually and as a group. With that being said, it sucks because everyone goes. The concept of having a college student hangout coffee place is amazing. But the reality is, it gets packed. 7 times out of 10, you won’t find a spot to sit.P.S- the music needs a bit of change to the vide of the place.
I was blown away by the atmosphere here. Their outside patio is so relaxing. You dont find many coffee shops with the kind of aesthetic MoonBeans has, and I love it!
