I ordered take out crispy duck for $18 plus tax This was the most horrible crispy duck i have had. The duck was anything but crispy, it was completely dry and it was obvious it had been cooked several hours ago and not on the spot like they said. When i called to tell them their response was like too bad. . I will never go there again.

Was in the McAllen area and was craving Asian cuisine and this restaurant did NOT disappoint. You can tell is made fresh and seasoned perfectly. Their menu is reasonably priced, especially for the quantity. The lunch portion was more than enough & we were able to take leftovers. The service was attentive & very patient. I’m also thankful they are open late till 10pm unlike many other restaurants in the area. Def will be coming back!

Yesterday, 2/19/22, I ordered a dinner size triple crown, mushroom combination, combination fried rice, and some egg rolls. I have been a loyal customer since the 90’s and this place was absolutely the best tasting Chinese food to go to. However; this time I noticed the shrimp in my dinner sized portions was not fresh cooked shrimp, it was pre-boiled and was just mixed into the vegetables of its respective plate. Fresh cooked shrimp vs pre-boiled shrimp in a triple crown really just busts the taste down very significantly and not tasty. I hope the owner reads this message and adjusts the food accordingly. While I understand that prices on food are going up, you can never sacrifice your trademark authentic taste for an easy pick cheaper one. Lotus Inn Has been a favorite in MCAllen for decades, please bring it back.

Ordered takeout, I’ve never eaten here before and I can honestly say the food from Panda Express is better. My sesame chicken was dry some pieces like beef jerky , the fried rice rubbery, the egg roll was good and the hot and sour soup was ok. I wasn’t very happy spending 20 on this food

The food was freshly made and delicious. Just the right amount of seasoning and spices and the waitress was very attentive and friendly and she paid attention to detail since the moment she started helping us.

I have been coming to dine it and take out from Lotus Inn for many many years. Their to go containers are absolutely a step or 2 up from the previous flimsy carton containers..???..If i could sum up what describes Lotus Inn...it would be..CONSISTENCY!!??????..Their meals never dissapoint and the price i believe is a GREAT value considering the quality of the food. Example....these 2 platters(only one shown in pics here) cost only shy of 18$.I highly recommend this place over similarly priced Chinese fast food restaurants in my area. Im stingy on giving 5 stars..but they have earned it throughout my dining in and carrying out over the years!Mike Sanchez

Great food. Authentic chinese taste. Good service and friendly staff

I had the Fresh green beans with roast pork. I think those beans were frozen. Just so-so in flavor. Hot and sour soup was unusually thick. Egg roll didn't impress. Fried wings were delicious. Long wait to be seated and very long wait to be served. They seemed to have a huge staff standing around yet we had to wave down a server for drink refills. Not at all impressed and won't return.

Absolutely disgusting! Found two hairs in our dish

Best Chinese restaurant in town. Food is delicious and reasonably priced.
